At first glance it doesn't appear that games or single teams will be available ala carte, which I think many people were hoping for.

Assuming the costs are reasonable, I would consider moving from Sling to YouTube.

Unlucky 13 and KeyFin like this.

Yeah YouTube offers more sports coverage which is nice during the NCAA football season. But at 20 more a month over Sling I'm not sure it's worth the expense.
-
so they are still doing the same garbage one size fits all crap and still blacking out local games im assuming. What a miss. Was really hoping the NFL to push the industry and allow you to pay for what teams you want to see. Huge miss especially considering how much better illegal streaming options have become over the years.
-
Sigh... I wonder what that means for us here north of the border. There was one year with all this sunday ticket nonsense that the only option for me was DAZN. What a depressing year that was.
Not having a single team option is foolish too in this day and age.
I hate the move to streaming services in general though. But you know, the greedy NFL is going to go where the $$$ signs are the highest. -
I dropped DirecTV five years ago, and got broadband for the first time since 2005 at the same point, so I'm excited that we're finally getting the chance to watch football via streaming. It was originally supposed to be an option in the 2020 season in addition to DirecTV, but they kept kicking the can down the road.
I wonder if they'll trickle out the info about exactly what the packages will be and the cost over time, or we'll get a big information dump all at once. Also whether there will be some sort of early bird, get it now deal for early adopters. -

-
I hope they have a stand alone app. If I can't watch more than one game at once, I am not getting it.
-
Just not sure -

What would have been good for bars is if ESPN won the bidding war for the license.. then it wouldnt be difficult to login to ESPN+.. but google outbid everyone. -
With all this new money, from amazon and now google.. some of the contracts we got now are going to be looked at as bargains.. even tyreek’s.. players share the revenue, salary cap is definitely getting adjusted.
-
The media has been saying that the NFL will work out some special deal for sports bars, but no one has an idea of what that is. Obviously, they wouldn't go into this knowing that they're killing an entire industry that helps support them across the country. But as others have said, broadband can't be the solution, as there are too many technical hurdles and many bars are in areas where its not even an option. So my guess is that the League and Google agreed to let DirecTV or someone else like Dish be the bar exclusive provider.
I'm thankful that my time needing to go to one is now over after Week 18. -
Hills cap number jumps from 6.8m this season to 31.4 next year, then 25m, 28, and 50m after that.
Armstead's number jumps from 4.6m this season to 21m next year, then 16.4, 16.7 and 16.7 after that.
So even with the jump, we're going to be tight against the cap, and Grier is going to need to work some extensions and other adjustments just to fill out the roster. -
