Yeah, sickening to watch. Brady is so great he can make the other team do really stupid stuff to get the Pats back in the game? If Kyle Shanahan was trying to be cute by calling those plays, he is an idiot. An historic meltdown by Atlanta. Probably never be another one like it. Maybe Brady will retire now? He has a solid claim to GOAT QB. Thanks Falcons!
I hope the Falcons get knocked into last place next year. Feeling a Saints NFC South comeback. They're also a--holes for that $600 Million+ taxpayers have spent for a new stadium to replace one that had nothing wrong with it that was opened just in 1993. The Dolphins & Saints have shown how you can easily renovate a stadium for less money and improve it greatly. Ok...enough Falcons rant...
Almost nailed it. I predicted 34 -21 Patriots are best team in football Best game I've seen in a long time!!!???
Call him what you want - Brady is QB football GOD. 43 of 62 for 466 yrds , 2tds, 1 int. Patriots are best team in football by far. Just listen to how they talk - the coaches, players, owner etc. Hell wouldn't surprise me if Belichick is already preparing for next year
They are the greatest QB/Coach combo of our lifetime. We can only hope they retire soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Some of you guys are so salty. Choosing to hate your opponent only hurts you. You guys are the ones that look dumb when you belittle the Pats and act envious. Being that way doesn't make you a bigger Dolphins fan, it just makes you childish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Get a load of this guy. The Patriots are our rivals. We're SUPPOSED to hate them. That's what you do in a rivalry. Did you see the map of who all the states were rooting for in the Super Bowl? Every state was rooting for the Falcons except for four: Massachusetts (obviously), Louisiana, North Carolina, and half of Florida. Want to know why? Because the Saints, Panthers, and Bucs play in the those states. They hate their rivals! I can't help but laugh when someone says "why do you hate the Pats so much? Makes you sound jealous" Yeah, no ****. They're in our division and they always win (and cheat). I've said this before. I have nothing against Tom Brady the person. Seems like a fine fellow. But football Tom Brady? **** him and every single other member of the Patriots. It's sports, and hating your rival, especially one who always wins, is part of the fun and passion of it all. Get off your high horse already. Haven't you ever gotten a hearty laugh out of watching the Jets embarrass themselves? I know I have. Plenty of times. Really soothes the soul.
You don't have to hate your rival. You can have a healthy competition, lose, and not be envious. I admire their greatness. I choose not to belittle them because I know I wish my team was as successful. You're just in denial and envious but try to justify your childish behavior by pretending it makes you a better fan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You can also do both, which is what I do. I respect them, but also hate them. Because this is sports, and they are our rivals. Also, please show me how I'm in denial, or how my behavior is childish, or where I ever said I was a better fan because I don't believe I've ever said any of those things.
You were talking about how you're SUPPOSED to hate your rival and you were doing the equivalent of scoffing through your response to my post. Well sorry, I guess I'm not doing what a fan is supposed to do according to you. You also mentioned how you especially hate them because they win. That's envy and envy is a bad look. I don't give a crap about the Jets either. A losing team getting off on another team losing is the perfect example of "misery loves company." You'd be better served admiring greatness and hoping for it yourself instead of trying to chalk their success up to cheating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I never said it made me a better fan. Not once. Most fans hate their rivals. This isn't exactly breaking news. If you choose not to hate the Patriots, then good for you, but don't condemn other fans for being pissed and envious that their rivals just won another Super Bowl. And if we ever win it all, don't hold your breath waiting for fans of the Patriots, Jets, and Bills to laud us.
You realized you can't defend your stance so you don't want to say I'm a bad fan for admiring the Patriots even though I'm supposed to hate them, according to you. If you're being honest, you know what you were implying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did I miss the part where the overly salty booger eaters tried to marginalize the Patriots win tonight? Maybe one day we can get to the level they've achieved.
LOL. I never said anyone was a good or bad fan. Nor did I say anyone was better than anyone else. I simply pointed out why other fans would be pissed that the Patriots won. And it's a reason that goes above the notion that they're "salty" "dumb" and "childish" as you claim they are. So basically, my stance is you can believe and root and hate any way you choose, but don't attack others because they feel a different way. If they want to be "salty" and "childish" for hating that a rival won, then let them. Anyway, that's all I'm going to say about this. Super Bowl is officially over so now it's time for the offseason. Hopefully we can improve our team enough to take down the Pats. Have a good night.
Oh now here comes Rock Sexton with his cool ANTI HOMER MAN routine. The Pats are a great team and it SUCKS they won again. If you can't understand why a majority of die hard Dolphins fans (among others) are pissed, then I just can't help you. We ALL want that trophy. Of course we're envious. Being upset that they won doesn't make us dumb, childish, or pathetic. It makes us fans. There's one big reason we're all in this thing, and that's to win a championship. And when we don't and someone we're rivals with does, it feels bad man. Anyway, I'm gonna go dream about Adam Gase hoisting the Lombardi. Catch you guys on the flip side.
Its cool that we can just dismiss all the evidence of the times they were caught cheating and we can all act like it doesn't matter. We've become a society that looks the other way when a person or organization achieves success through rigging the game. It's almost praised now. So hail to the thieves! And I don't care if I sound childish or irrational. I'm a sports fan, I'm supposed to be that way. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Felt like i just woke up from five nightmares at once... And lol at the patriot fans here defending themselves by saying theyre football fans. Please turn in your dolphins fan card immediately...
I don't mind the hate. I hate the Jets. I actually don't hate the Bills and Patriots, they're just our rivals. This is just a game. But the Jets can go screw themselves. But don't let the hate cloud analysis, that's all. I try to judge all players objectively even if I'm wrong. I do have a soft spot for certain Dolphins players though (Jason Allen, John Beck, Chris Chambers ...) but I try to minimize that. I really thought Reagan Mauia was gonna be a force for us.
That's what some posters do. The need to make stuff up in order to justify their ignorance. They don't realize how much more dumb it makes them look. lol
Exactly what I'm talking about. I know you guys hating on the Pats feel this way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Right. Never took anything away from them. They're a great team, and it sucks that they continue to win. It's annoying. I want to win now! What's real funny is there was a long period pretty recently where I was numb to them, but now my true rival hatred has returned. Sports is more fun when there is a villain, and it just so happens that villain is in our division so we tend to get even angrier when they win. In conclusion, they're a great team with a hall of fame coach and quarterback, but they can still go **** themselves.
I agree. And if someone wants to say that the 2001-2016 Pats have been the best franchise in NFL history I'll agree with them. I'll bring up the cheating too, however. Although, when people try to claim that one player is the GOAT based upon Super Bowl rings, it's just aggravating. Mean Joe Greene has 6 Super Bowl rings. (4 as a player and 2 as an asst. coach). Does that make him the greatest player and coach of all time? lol...
Hard to say. Top 5...Unitas, Manning, Marino, Graham, Favre You could probably replace those guys with a few others. (Steve Young, Montana, Staubach, Tarkenton, etc etc) To me, the GOAT should not only be physically incredible, but someone who has changed the game. Those 5 players, in their own way, changed the game of football. I don't like to consider current players as GOAT. However, when it's all said and done and if he keeps playing like he does now, Aaron Rodgers will more than likely be the greatest to ever play. He's the best running + throwing QB I've ever seen. And either way he can beat you. Add to it that he has probably the best arm in history...he's just phenomenal.
I think Brady is the GOAT, but I'm willing to change my opinion if after Brady retires Belichick has essentially the same level of success (doubt it though). For those arguing it's more the system.. there is an interesting analogy one can try and make with the only other 21st century American sports franchise I'd put in the same category as the Pats: the Spurs. Consistently one of the best teams, also won 5 NBA titles and in many ways Brady is like Duncan.
Early in the 4th Quarter the Pats had scored their 6 point touchdown and had then stopped the Falcons on their next drive. I then got off the couch and got my coat and said that I had seen this before and that the Pats would come back and win the game. Before I stepped out the door it was a 16 point game and it was all but over in my mind. I listened to them tie it up on the way home and a couple of hours later checked online to see who had won, just on the off chance that the Falcons might have pulled off some kind of miracle. I will not watch the Pats win another superbowl - I have seen it before and it is really boring. I understand that it was an exciting game but not when the Pats are involved. Certainly the Falcons let up but the Pats seemed to be a different team. Belicheat found something (perhaps the playbook fell into his hands right at that time) that turned the tide. I have stayed off facebook because the big headed arrogance of the fans is horrible now. Somehow there are more fans now then there were in the past few years - it is so easy to be a fan and show off your fan love when your team wins most of the time. Can't wait to see all those people vanish once the Pats become normal again. Someone said it , what more can Brady do? This was it. Might as well win when he is over 40, maybe win with a broken arm. Win with his helmet on backwards. Win 4 in a row perhaps. I know Belicheat wants to win without Brady and so the clock for Belicheat leaving starts only after Brady leaves.
I left at 28-3 to bring my wife some food who was at home with two sick kids. Didn't even bother checking the score but decided to just because. Oh Shi* it's tied and in ot. I recorded it but didn't plan on watching it. I turned the channel and my son almost melted down (he loves Paw Patrol). Watched it later just to see.
