I've already seen it on a client machine yesterday. They're running Firefox until I can get to them. OT: was posted in Technology forum.
MS should really spend time cranking out quality rather than quantity but we all know that will never happen.
Sking, I was wondering when that smiley was going to be used. It seems fitting that such a nerd like you would find an appropriate place to put it
And people wonder why I use Firefox. "You are just trying to be different"....no, I am using it because it has better functionality, is faster and is safer. It always was safer, even before this... Microsoft is a joke IMO. I can't wait until I get my Apple next year.
not to tote the fanboy horn again but linux = free and works on PCs. not hard to learn. just takes time.
Plus don't forget the freedom to customize to your hearts content. As for Firefox I started using it with 3 before it I had used IE 7 but I made the switch and reasons like this are why I am glad I did. I do think PCs catch a lot of unnecessary flak from the Apple folks but the way MS drops the ball on the quality of IE and the 360, its easy to see why PCs get slammed so much. Still IE is just sad for how MS lets it compromise its users.
For the record I don't mind using PCs but I can do so much more to my linux partition that makes me enjoy it more. My os boots up in 1/2 the time it takes windows to boot up and my desktop is basically just a small bar along the bottom with a right click bringing up the menu.. or no menus at all and all CLI.
and yea, did the penguins waddle from out of the frozen waters where they saw a window. and they did say... what the ****? a window?
Bloody piss..... IE has been keeping me in business for years now this...... What are you people trying to do to me......
I recently went back to IE and immediately noticed my comp slow down and various trojans trying to find their way onto my machine. Cleaned them up, dumped IE to go back to Firefox and have had zero issues.
Oh I thought I would add that all of your resources arent used up running anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, and firewall apps.
I've been an IE user since I can remember, just recently switched to FF because of this situation and haven't looked back. Really liking it.
Good point. I would add to that by saying there are viruses, but you'd have to manually give them permissions to spread each and every time. So if you fubar your computer it's basically your fault.
If for whatever reason you don't like the fox there are alternatives to that as well that are good. I mentioned a few earlier.
