Not a bad episode. I was so damn spoiled from last season everything seems so much worse in comparison. Definitely rooting for Ozzy though as of this point.
-
Rooting for Cochrane
-
 yea, he's kissing his way along, but it will come to an abrupt halt soon I'm afraid. -
I don't understand these people at all. Why in the world don't they try to take out Ozzy or Benjamin? They had the PRIME opportunity to take out Ozzy last night but instead they take out his girlfriend, who wouldn't have lasted until right after the merge anyways?

The cast members are becoming dumber and dumber each season. Get rid of Ozzie when he doesn't see it coming AT ALL. Now he knows he'll be targeted and he'll use his idle to stay alive. Then he gets to the merge and it's a brand new game from there.DeDolfan likes this. -
i agree, the smart move would have been to take out Ozzy first. But, that's why they "play the game".
-
IMO the simple answer is that they weren't ready to take out Ozzy. There was an alliance. It takes people time to decide to completely backstab someone they've made promises to. They want to be loyal at first until they slowly find justifications to not be loyal. It's just human nature. Then you also have the desire to continue to compete at challenges. The tribes have been pretty close in those challenges. If you take away an Ozzy then it's easy to envision the other tribe winning a bunch of challenges and you go into the merge hopelessly outnumbered. I think that if I were playing, my main goal would be to make it to the merge at least with even numbers. The game can always change then depending on tribe dynamics. But if you go in outnumbered then it makes it much more likely that you'll be picked off. Your best chance is to convince those who perceive themselves on the bottom at the other tribe to switch, but that only happens if it's close enough to that switching one or two swings things. If your not close enough then you have to hope to be brought in as the swing vote and even then you're most likely to be the one at the bottom of the pecking order. I don't think I would have voted off Ozzy either, primarily b/c I would still want him for challenges. And I think he will be the number 1 target after the merge anyways. So I would be thinking that I could use him now and that he'll be more likely to be picked off later just b/c he'll be a bigger target than me.

Of course he will. Just a matter of time. He took a step in that direction last week by getting rid of Mikayla.

Coach is one of the dumbest Survivors of all time.
He just loves to trust people and it burns him every time. He'll be gone when they merge. -

That was some show last night. Last season, the redemption island "winner" came back before the merge. If that is any indicator, the merge won't happen next. Of course Cochran knows this if he is as big of a fan as he says he is. Why would he say anything? If he told them that the merge isn't next, he would be the one being voted off. I think I just found my favorite for the season....Would be funny if Ozzy came back and Cochran didn't give him his idol. Ozzy is such a tool...
-
Ozzy is an idiot. He's overthinking the game.
I bet he will lose and then Cochran will have the idol all to himself. Cochran's gonna go far. -
Good episode tonight
Jets fan loses on RI and the d-bag Keith gets voted off.
Not a huge fan of Cochran though someone that bad at challenges shouldn't be on Survivor. Especially a dude who's not 60+ years old -
P.S. Rob would've already had this season wrapped up just like last season :P
-
Cochran ****ed up big time now. He's out on an island all by himself now. Coach's bunch now knows
he can not be trusted and Ozzy's bunch never really did to begin with. Dawn tried to convey that to
him but he just thumbed his nose at her. Coach will now play Cochran to his own advantage and will
keep him around until the rest of Ozzy's clan have been all voted off. Cochren told them he would
explain but no one will listen now.NJFINSFAN1 likes this. -
Regardless of whether or not it was the smart move on his part, Cochran definitely made things a lot more interesting with his decision to flip. Not only will it be interesting to see how it plays out from a strategic standpoint, but the wrath he'll undoubtedly receive should make for some intriguing viewing next week. It was definitely a ballsy move on his part, and frankly I didn't think he had it in him. Could be a move that gets him a lot farther in the game, or costs him a chance to fly under the radar for a few more elimination votes. Regardless of the outcome, I think he felt like this was his move to make. Looking forward to next week's episode already.

Cochran is/was last among either group of six. Now the plan is that Coach's group is able to pick off Ozzy's group (playing around whomever wins individual immunity) until it's down to the final seven. Then Cochran has to hope that either he wins immunity (not a great chance of that) or that something happens to weaken the unity of the other six and keep him beyond that. But he will still be the guy who betrayed his original tribe so his odds of being trusted seem slim. Brandon could be the lose cannon that lets him move up, but he probably doesn't know that yet. Anybody who has watched past Survivor's would probably know that the odds of the game switching to an individual game before it gets down to seven are high. I could easily see Cochran being the guy that's not trusted by anybody if that happens. I think he should have stayed with his tribe and played the odds. There was almost no way that he was going to be one of the votes so he was safe this week either way. He should have shut his mouth up about whom Ozzy would give his idol to and then there would have been a 1 in 3 chance that one of Coach's guys goes to Redemption Island right off the bat and then an even chance on the stone draw.
Cochran and Edna do have the advantage in an individual game in that they're so bad at challenges that there's no point in targeting them. Keith may have been saved by going to Redemption b/c he'll avoid being the target and would probably be the favorite against every challenger but Ozzy. -

Cochran is a straight up G!
-
And his old tribe are bunch of hacks. They treat him like sht the whole game and now they're pissed when he returns the favor. -
Cochran is happy. He's a guy who never should have made it this far. But here he is and now he's been behind 2 backstab's at Ozzy (getting rid of his girl and now this). He's the guy whose prevented another Boston Rob situation.
And lets face it...Ozzy's group deserved this. They treated Cochran like crap from day 1.
Coach's group isn't as secure as everyone likes to think it is. Brandon's a loose cannon, Sophie I could easily see being part of a backstab. Not to mention Coach's insistence on keeping Edna around. They can systematically get rid of Ozzy's tribe now and there's time for something to blow up in Coach's group.Paul 13 likes this. -

Cochran played it completely wrong. At worst he would of made it to the final six if he had not turned on them and now he might only make it to the final seven. He got hung up on leaving it to chance and he got cold feet. He wanted complete assurance that he he was not going to be eliminated in the 12th spot or however many there are now. He let coach play him. Coach BTW is playing a solid game and reading people great.
What Cochran should of done was told Ozzy not to play the Idle on the girl at tribual after the votes were cast. That would of increased the odds that they played the idle right because it was either Jim or Brian that it was going to be played on and they pretty much had it figured out that it was either the girl or Brian that they would try to eliminate. If they knew that the girl wasnt the target, odds are they would of protected Brian.
After all was said and done Cochran would of come off showing he has value as a stratagist and he is loyal to his team plus he is not viewed as a physical threat in challenges and he is the type of guy that could be carried to the end, leaving him just the final challenge to win to assure himself a shot at the million. The final test is never about strength its always about will power and determination, He at least has a shot at winning that challenge.
Cochran still may make it to the end but even if he does he is going to have a difficult time convincing people to vote for him. There is no way they are going to forgive him. Ozzy took his place on redemption island and then wasted his idle because of Cochrans treachory. Cochran should of listened to the one friend he had and stayed loyal to his group. Once they got down to the final 6 He at least had her on his side so thats 2 votes and that can be really powerfull when you get down under 6. Jim would be easy to flip to blindside Ozzy and Brian and the girl are a lil to obvious about thier alligence to one another, one of those two could of easily been the first target of the final six. I'm sure Ozzy would of been all about voting Brians girl out like he did to him. There is a lot of dynamics that would of come into play and many of the scenerios would of favored Cochran going to the final 3 or 4 at least. -
Time is against Cochran right now. Time as in needed to win back the trust of his tribe. By the time he does, if he does, they'll be so short in numbers. Once his whole tribe is gone, the Coach and co will turn on Cochran. Cochran's only hope is to get the "loose cannon" [Brandon] to switch, or someone else.

Ozzie is so full of himself.
Really, so extra fish and coconut juice will be the reason why you win every duel from here on out and come back to win? Please. -
Albert will flip next!

LOL at Cochran with Coach's jacket. And then Whitney pulling out the tears at tribal. "i'm not a bully waah waah..." **** her with Cochran's fist! I love it when cast members try to make the game bigger than it is. "We can send a message to future Survivor casts that lying and cheating is not acceptable".... Get the **** over yourselves and get on with the game. Cochran knew his place with your tribe, he knew he'd be sixth on the list. He took a chance. We'll see if it works or not. "you disgust me!"... go take a dip in the ocean next to a great white you hag! And then there's Jim with the Marijuana Dispensory Shop... no no... he's a role model and hes going to tell us what is right. Go stand under a coconut tree douchebag....
