http://tvline.com/2014/04/07/olympus-syfy-drama-series-plot-details/ Both sound like boom-or-bust projects; the market could be reaching the saturation point with both post-apocalyptic and zombie dramas, and the market certainly gets dumber by the day, making any entertainment based on mythology risky.
i wouldn't say that we're oversaturated with non-zombie post-apocalyptic shows. There's Revolution, but what else? I can't stand anything zombie related, so I don't watch that end of it anyways.
I've got the first book of that in my Amazon wishlist, but never got around to buying it. Has got good reviews on Amazon, so will be interesting to see what they do with it...although I do admit to having some qualms about it being SyFy producing it, I've not got a lot of trust in them being able to produce quality shows.
