And we were discussing our teams, and he made a comment like "Miami doesn't have a QB." I responded, "Yes we do. His name is Chad Henne, sucka!"

Depending on the year he has you both could be right.

But at the same time, Tom Brady has the look and feel of a guy who wants to retire sooner rather than later. Being Mr. Bundchen is more lucrative for him at this point than going 18-1 again.cnc66 likes this. -

I'd like to see Henne post at least a 90 QB rating this season. Then, presuming there isn't a work stoppage in 2011, I'd like to see him get as close to 100 as possible. And if you think that's unreasonable, consider that Aaron Rodgers did more in his first season starting than Henne has, and that both Rodgers and Philip Rivers have QB ratings over 100 for 2009.
Henne has the tools. His offensive line is better than Green Bay's, and his receiving corps--WRs, TEs, and RBs--are about equal with San Diego's on the whole. But he still has to do it. Right now, he hasn't.

I hope Henne pans out and I really like the kid, but sometimes I feel like we may be getting ahead of ourselves... seems to me that many think that Henne is our franchise quarterback, which is really up in the air. -
There are plenty of QBs who have accomplished as much a Henne has, and turned out to be failures. Too soon to annoint him anything other than our starting QB.
