Mastrud has been active all year. I guess this is why we signed that tight end from the Colts during the week. Now if he plays over Egnew, that will not be pretty.
Mastrud was inactive last week, and the week before. But yes he'll be active again, and if this other guy gets the nod over Egnew it wont be pretty. But that's because nobody has patience for young players anymore. Ofcourse if Egnew plays and plays well, there will be complaints to why he hasnt played sooner, while completely oblivious to the reasons he's been held back. I'm hoping Egnew plays...... and if he plays well, I'll just be happy he did.
Not to worry, our running game will carry us to victory. Just need our defense to hold RW and Rice and Lynch to 3 points.
Right, though my point has been that he hasnt been active the last two weeks, but we should probably assume he'll be active again. He's the only one who can attempt to fill Fasano's role in the running game. It would be nice to see Egnew make an appearance but it doesn't seem likely.
Not a big loss. Fasano's blocking has regressed this season and he has only four catches in the last four games. TE should be a high priority need for the Dolphins in the off season. Unfortunately they have so many high priority needs, they will probably have an inferior TE once again in 2013.
Watch egnew be one of those guys that need to be in the game to "turn it on", and he lights up!!!!! Probably not.
Mastrud is a decent run blocker, so hopefully he can help in that role anyway. If they don't activate Fasano, the next TE would be Egnew. 3 TEs being active seems the most common.
His run blocking has for some reason. According to PFF his run blocking rating is worse than Clay's right now. Both have about the same positive ratings as pass blockers though. Run blocking has been Fasano's worst single rating according to PFF this season.
