Here is a friday morning funny... http://tradetimtebow.com/?page_id=63 I'm sure its all bull but I find it funny. Do you want Tebow? I know I dont.
I'm pretty sure that McCoy would want to get as far away from Tebow as possible. It can't be fun as a coordinator to have a QB who can't throw a five yard pass.
Fans expectations are so unrealistic .Just because a team spent a first round pick on Tebow it doesnt mean he is worth a first round pick.By that logic we should have traded Ted Ginn to the Niners for a first round pick rather than a 5th round pick . A third rounder is probably what he would be worth in a trade.
Not all of Tebow's passes are ugly. In fact he did make some really difficult passes and they were nuts on. I do not know if he could fix his accuracy issues in the off season or not, but I think he is the kind of guy that as unorthadox as he is, you give a chance too. My biggest concern with having a Tebow type of player under center is what do you do if he goes down. Can your offense adjust to having a Matt Moore type fill in for him?
Ross would take him in a heartbeat.. This would sell seats and with the right cast Teebow can be a very good QB.. He just needs time to develop.
We have known McCoy will be the coach since Monday I appreciate you posting the link to our website. I have known McCoy will be the coach since Monday. I don't know many people who can say that. The first step in the Dolphins attempt to get Tebow just happened. Mr. Ross wants to sell tickets and Tebow will guarantee sellouts and #15 Tebow Jersey sales that will sell more than all other Dolphin players combined. He is worth $40,000,000 a year to the bottom line of the team. Thanks again for the post!!!!!!! www.tradetimtebow.com
Tebow would work as a complimentary player if you decided to commit to multiple QBs, spread, etc. There are probably only 3 or 4 coaches anywhere with the balls to do that though and we aren't hiring any of them. Also the Tebow nation probably wouldn't handle him sharing time and might issue a fatwa or something. With the ball in his hands Tebow looks like a legit NFL runner with serious size and toughness, a real asset that would improve our team. It's just a shame he has the same throwing mechanics as Ronnie Brown.
I have absolutely zero interest in seeing Tim Tebow ever traded to the Dolphins to play QB. He seems like a nice young man, and as a QB, he is a great fullback, but he is certainly not the answer for the Dolphins at the QB position. I am not a great fan of Matt Moore, but I certainly feel that he is a far better NFL QB than Tebow. If Tebow wants to play H-back for the Dolphins, great trade for him. If he wants to come to Miami to play QB, he needs to stay right where he is, with the Broncos. If McCoy's plan is to trade for Tebow if he becomes the Dolphins head coach, I would prefer that Ross hires Sparano again instead.
As fullback or a TE, for sure, but if i ever see him throw a pass in a dolphin uniform i will officially adopt the san francisco 49ers as my new team!
Honestly....and I say this in all seriousness. There is zero chance that McCoy wants Tebow as his QB. He didn't want him as the QB in Denver and he sure as hell wouldn't want him as his QB wherever he lands as a HC.
Based on the last 10 years of decision making in this organization it would not surprise me at all to hear we traded a first round pick for Tebow. It would fit right into our modern ineptness model. Having said that I would hope that Ireland is good enough not to stoop to a ridiculous personnel move like this.
Guys , all I want to see is this organization restored to its former glory. If its Philbin then I hope they go after Flynn. now as far as Tebow (and he is not coming over to the Dolphins or anywhere else mainly because Denver is not going to trade him, he changed the locker room mentality from a losing culture to a winning one and before you say it was the defense, they were ranked 25th in the league and they went from last to first in rushing after he took over) , in the 33 previous Denver games before Tebow started the Broncos were 7-24, the worst record in the entire NFL during that span. Tebow was inserted as starter (the only change) and they went 8-5 winning a wild card playoff game before they ran into the Patriot buzz saw. The kid is winner. The Dolphins need WINNERS (whether its Tebow the QB or Teeboo the star wars Ewok) . Also when you compare his first 16 games to 40 NFL starters (recent starters) he ranks 16th (ahead of 24 other guys) add the intangibles and he has a lot to work with. Don't count him out yet because all your doing is repeating talking heads on ESPN that are entrenched against him.
