Figured I would open one up, I anticipate a great game. Im picking Oklahoma but wouldnt be suprised to see a Tech upset. One of the best games of the year. Also I feel wichever QB wins is almost a lock to win the Heisman, considering they are both top 3 in the race as of now. Sam Bradford wins the Heisman and Oklahoma goes to the national title game vs. either Bama or Florida.
I agree the winning QB sets himself up for the Heisman, and I agree w/ your prediction that it'll be a great game with an OU win. Should be fun either way with these offenses.
I got Texas Tech in this one. Just enough defense from Tech to pull this one out is my guess. OT: FSU/Maryland on ESPN, if you want to get a good look at Everette Brown.
This is basically a semi final to the National Championship, providing either team can handle Missouri in the Big 12 title game. I'm picking Tech, though I think it's going to be a great game.
Yeah, I know, I know. But got more than 3:1 on my money for both PIT and Texas Tech ... good deal. Figures that Wanny screws me again ...
He's one weird fella. Loses to Syracuse I believe and then beats USF at home. What the hell? Good luck tonight Ven lol. I'd love to see Jermaine Gresham in a Dolphins uniform. Good blocker, good hands, YAC.
Oklahoma is looking pretty salty so far ... though I thought that Tech got the short end on that incomplete pass call ... looked like a catch to me.
wow, I thought OU would win, but I didnt expect a blow out. Bradford has to be #1 for the Heisman if the 2nd half is anything like the 1st half.
Ummmm wow!! Hopefully we see some exciting bowl games because as a whole there have been very few "big games" that have lived up tp the hype.
Yea, I guess they have a legitimate gripe if Florida loses to Bama for getting an at large bid, considering they smacked'm around in "the swamp".
Florida lost by 1 point. I would not consider that smacked around. However at least we did not get blown out like Ohio State did.
Did not see this margin of victory coming! I guess if your 57-2 in your home stadium, it's for a reason.
The biggest question I had about the teams in the Big XII was if there was enough defense. Last night, Oklahoma shut down a high-powered offense that featured two Heisman candidates. If Oklahoma continues to play defense like they played tonight, minus Nic Harris' dumb penalties, they'll be a top ranked team year in and year out. However, my title for the best team in the NCAA still goes to UF.
??? They already are brother.... And the Big 12 is the best conference in football this year I think thats obvious, After Bama and UF there isnt really a scary team in the SEC the 12 has 4 beasts. It will be a great debate but Im going with Oklahoma over Texas to play the SEC champ in the big one.
Folks. I still thought it was an anomoly that Tech was ranked this high. They did beat a very very good Texas team, but that was what? THe third or fourth top 10 team Texas had played in as many weeks. They did beat a pretty solid Oklahoma State team, and handily, but besides those two games, they played a VERY easy schedule. Its a good team, but I think a top 10 is questionable. I like the fact that this Cinderella has done this well, and the entire team is class (Although I did see Crabtree talking quite a bit of smack last night) and I hope them nothing but luck. HOWEVER, Oklahoma was able to expose them for what they are...a pretty good possibly top 10 team. Crabtree will have a solid career somewhere ahead, but dont expect him to win a heisman, and Harrell is PROBABLY the third best QB in the division. Nothing more, nothing less.
