Ugh, yet another run heavy Qb seeks out a QB "guru" to work with prior to declaring for the draft, or already declaring, as if that will erase tens of hours of game tape, this is the ultimate in "I ate heavy during the holidays so now I'll starve to make up for it" thinking.
As if NFL GM's are that stupid, to me he should work on what he does do well and let the GM's see the potential rather then try to fool'm by tutoring under a Qb Guru Type, the Eye in the Sky won't lie, may not tell the whole truth, never lies though.

Oh, okay, that makes everything better now. -
I didn't get that out of it. I just got the rumor that he could be working with Gruden. :confused2: It's no different to me than Ricky Stanzi working with Tom Martinez during draft process.
MrClean and GARDENHEAD like this. -
Well, it speaks for itself. -
Buzz is, his WI game tape is particularly poor, to me that would be fine "if" he showed what he can do well, and showed mental flexibility to learn, hiring Gruden amounts to a band aid, a Con, why would any half way intelligent GM buy into it? -
And THAT is why the thread title is what it is, hiring Gruden now is liking taking swimming lessons after the ship hit the iceberg. -
What are the Sum Of Components Known about him, irrefutable facts as it were? -
-
Can he make plays? If so, how?
That, to me, is the bottom line, this hiring Gruden stuff to go through a couple of hundred reps is at best a distraction. -

Anything that Gruden can possibly do with Pryor is a sideshow, no way any half way intelligent GM would give a moment's thought to Grudens' workouts with him over his body of work, it is foolishness. -
Perhaps you see something different? -

Hmm, well let me ask you, what does it mean when a player is released? -

If he would play a Brad Smith type role why not take him with a 5th round pick or so but as a Qb prospect I think he's extremely suspect, I don't see him being a starter in the NFL without 3-4 years of coaching/work.

This thread is baffling. Padre, are you saying you'd like Pryor more if he wasn't working with Gruden? Or wasn't working with anyone at all? Or are you saying that nothing short of throwing himself off a bridge will please you? I don't like him as a player at all, but I don't get this.
