Parcells still doesnt have that big nasty tough LB yet that doesnt let it get to the guys like Thomas....1st there was Harry Carson, then Gary Reasons, finally Pepper Johnson, remember those guys?.....he likes big LB's if and it is a big IF McClain is there at 12....Parcells is grabbing that guy...it is his MO....
Well, I'm not sold on Thomas, but consider this draft is packed with Lb's, but not Safeties, there are maybe 3 Safeties that are legit Round 1 picks, so you could take Thomas at #12 and the nasty Lb at #43 and another at #74.
Boomer you think KC, CLE, or Den look at McClain? I dont think Denver will b/c they just signed DJ Williams to a huge contract...not sure they load up with 2 expensive backs there.
I agree. Based on having grown up watching Parcells career in New York. Even though I may personally prefer Jerry Hughes I see three reasons why McClain will be the pick 1) its our greatest need 2) its a safe pick. At worst he's going to be a good ILB At best he's going to be very good 3) I only see a handful of ILBs that may have an impact whereas there is a slew of NTs and OLBs that have potential to be impact players
I don't know Boom. Rumor has it BP is the one that really wanted Pat White last year (and, Ireland didn't). You know anything 'bout that?
If Parcels was running last year's draft ... I feel like Pat White wouldnt have been a Dolphin ... that was a Jeff Ireland pick all the way
I was more impressed by AJ Green this year. Is that more just because of offenses and people keying on Julio?
I think it's a democracy but Jeff is his own man. I know that to be 100% the case and if he was a patsy, he'd just walk.
Disaster for the longhorns, int for a TD. Could see it coming from here. There is very little point in watching the rest of the game, that cat Gilbert is incompetent (he is just a Fr.) and Alabama can just tee off now. Adios fellas, unless something amazing happens.
I think Ireland's MO is to take the Tuna advice on Day 1 picks.....Tuna plays a heavy hand Day 1, Day 2 probably moreso solely Ireland.....
Remember Merling switching the ball to the other side on his pick for a TD last year? I want to see those two guys race!
pick six 3 seconds before the half what a shame I feel bad for the longhorns lose your star qb on the big stage
Right right thats way he hired Ireland, I remember an article where Parcells was saying he liked Ireland alot because he disagreed with him, made him see other aspects....and Ireland's draft input in Dallas panned out.....crap I forgot who Tuna said he suggested but I just remember it as a successful pick..
Well, all I know is if I'm the one making the decisions, and McClain is there at #12 (assuming he declares of course), I take him. And, I build a defense around him. Dude is a baller. JMHO...
