http://www.nfldraftbible.com/Latest/2010_texas_vs_nation_game_rosters.html Tx v the Nation is a bit of "grade B" type of event, however there is some talent on the rosters, especially small college talent: Arthur Moats JMU Adrian Tracey William and Mary Marcus Easley UConn Sam Shields the " U" Brandon Sharpe Texas Tech. Jr. Gallette Stillman Austen Lane Murray State. Easley has a great size/speed ratio, but is a walkon and quite raw, Shields has some serious speed as he showed with that end around on a kick off return against WI. Brandon Sharpe is a sleeper from TT, he led the NCAA Div I in sacks for most of the eary part of the college football season.
Was hoping to see Jake Ballard. That guy is very underrated. He can block and catch but doesn't get used in Tressel's offense.
And it is nearly impossible to watch this game, CBS has/had the rights to the broadcast, but they only do so via pay per view webstreaming.
For me, the names of interest are Marcus Easley, Donald Jones, Jay Ross, Jammie Kirlew, Austen Lane, EJ Wilson, David Gettis, Kevin Matthews, Demarcus Granger, Phillip Dillard (why is he not at the Shrine Game at worst?) and AJ Jefferson.
I don't believe they can stream it on JustinTv, as a webstream it would be difficult to then restream the thing, that is more of a P2P type of deal.
Dillard is a nice cover 'backer from what I've watched. Easley is a nice player and tough IMO. I like Jefferson, just very raw. Re: DeMarcus Granger - How the mighty have fallen. Remember when he was considered a top 45 pick? Back injury and an arrest later, he's now fighting to get drafted.
Yeah Al. Dillard is smallish but does a great job down the field. I could see him starting in somewhere like Indy. I mentioned Jefferson a year and a half ago along with Sean Smith as two possible longterm ones but Jefferson hasn't trained on so far. But the raw tools are there. Granger is Marcus Thomas for 2010.
