The NFL it trying to be too clever for its own good.
Every passing year and there's a 'completed catch' controversy. There's no way on common sense earth that that wasn't a completed catch and thus a forced fumble and incredible defensive play to produce a turnover.
Why can't the NFL make a catch a catch? You know, just like all of us when we're throwing and catching. It's not that hard to tell whether someone caught a ball or not. If they have control of it in their hands, it's caught, if they miss it or are juggling it it's not a catch.
Everyone knows when they've caught a ball. It's really rather simple. Why can't the NFL?
Awesome play by the Cowboys defense. They were robbed.

I remember when Pittsburgh fumbled into the Dolphins end zone and a group people dove on it. Though a Dolphin player came out of the pile with the ball. Refs gave the ball back to the Steelers on the one yard line.
For those who like to relive the horror of this call here is a link.

I agree the rules are to stupid. As long as the ball doesn't hit the ground when being caught and your feet are inbounds 1 step two steps etc a catch is a catch just like when we played in the field. Stop all the stupid rules. If you catch a ball and and take a step and it gets stripped its a fumble!
