wow, very interesting. We traded one guy who had quite the difficult road to the NFL for another....

 

To say camarillo is only a good guy could be an understatement. His road to the NFL was just as amazing as Benny's but in a different respect.

 

Growing up fatherless would make Benny's journey to the pros that much more difficult IMHO.

No one loves Camarillo more than me (no homo), but I don't think he had to take on the personal challenges that Benny did.

My well wishes for both these individuals and their families extend well beyond the grid-iron.

 

Camarillo had to walk on to the team at Stanford as a Punter, and look where he is today. As far as personal life experiences, there is no doubt benny has had it harder. As for as making the NFL, i think they both had it VERY hard.

 

We now have a Chad Pennington on Defense. He can teach maturity. Poise. Overcoming. I like him as a guy who can reach some of the younger guys in ways that Chad can't for obvious reasons. I hope he gets a chance to sit down with Ronnie for his DUI, Merling for his domestic violence, Marshall for some maturity issues, and the rest of the guys who have some issues. He's a presence I like. He brings more to this team than Cam could. I love Cam (no homo) but what Benny brings from a player need and person development standpoint is just outstanding.

 

Just because someone does not have a father figure, it does not mean its a harder road than the other...

 

Umm Camarillo was more then good check his stats before making a statement like that.

NOTE: several times in this thread and others too, I keep reading this "(no homo)" when referring to loving a guy or player. I am very hetero as my wife would confirm, but most of my friends are gay due to my doing so much theater for most of my life. If I say I love Ronnie Brown, why should there be a need to put "(no homo)" in, I am comfortable enough with my manhood that I don't see it as being necessary. I mention this because I know for a fact we have (or did have) several gay posters on this site who are good posters. I would appreciate it if people would consider that "(no homo)" may be rather offensive to those guys, or girls even.

For that matter, when I see "(no homo)" inserted, it makes me wonder just how comfortable the poster really is with their own sexuality. Why not just say I love me some Cammarillo, and be confident enough in your manhood that you don't feel the need to potentially offend our gay posters by inserting ANYTHING.

Sorry, I know this is off topic, but I've just seen this too frequently to let my opinion simmer within, had to get this out. I am confident the posters doing this don't realize they may be offending someone, and hopefully this will make them more comfortable just saying they love a guy and being confident no one will think they are gay just because of it.
