No playoff..........no championship run.........another disapointing season after another. And now....here we go again....the dilusion begins............the same that came when we heard the name JIMMY, or PARCELLS, or MARSHALL..........the idea that through the draft or free agency the Maimi Dolphins can somehow make a push next year. You start hearing ....OMG!! COWHER OR GRUDEN ARE COMING!!! THEY ARE GOING TO SAVE US!!! Havent we been down this road before? Hmmmm.............sounds like a political election every four years. The Dolphins often lack heart..........and swagger...the bad boy mentallity....been like that for 30 years. And the track record seems to indicate that nothing is going to change anytime soon. ever been to a Dolphin draft at the stadium. You hears fans yell to draft players like Dez Bryant or CJ Spiller or one of many defensive studs...but instead.... Sometimes, you hear the draft picks and you go HUH??? WHO??? Meanwhile other teams get better. Lets talk about Henne. Some of you like him. Some of you dont. I think that at the very least, he could be served to sit on the bench awhile and learn. The game seems to move too fast for him. The line cant protect him and he takes too long to maike up his mind. He has all the physical tools but his mind is not ready for the game. In a year and a half, Henne has simply not panned out. Say what you will, but the wiser Pennington would have at least taken care of the ball and make better choices. Pennington would have been good for at least 2-3 more wins. The Dolphins talked about coming in running the ball. Yet at the first sign of adversity and despite an inexpereiced QB, the fins often abandon the running game. They could utilize Ronnie better by throwing to him out of the backfield but that obviously is not happening. They could pound it out with Ricky but no luck so far.......... The Fins secondary allows WRs to roam free and make wide open catches in space. It has been that way for years. There are so many other issues. And the fans are TRYING to get behind this team. But you cant help but see the frustrated look of so many Dolphin faithful. Can the fins get over the hump soon? I hope so. The Maimi Heat are trying to push to make this a NBA first town and if the dolphins keep disapointing......whose to say....in time and with a title or two, it might just happen
