All I know is, I agree with the previous poster that showed love for Gaby, I am up here in Charlotte, NC and reading every day about the boys....Gaby is one of my favorites, he is almost like a Yerimiah Bell type guy. Solid player, maybe a allstar here or there, will be on the Marlins for a long time, and a quiet fan favorite. I can dig that. I love him for his professional demeanor and hard work, he will be a Todd Helton type player for us imo.

Also, the starting pitching has been suspect, but its spring, i love how the art collector came out on fire today. Whatever. We will be ok. Hanley seems primed for a huge year, I have been **** talking a bunch of braves fans at my work recently about him, hope he proves me right. I love our outfield of stanton, cogz and lomo, if dominguez can continue hitting 260ish and keep his 1.000 fielding %, then I will love it.

All in all, I am very excited for the season, especially considering the **** thats going on with the NFL and the Dolphins sucking balls for decades, the Marlins deserve majority love from me, and they will get it.

I'll go ahead and mention this here also, I will be traveling to South Florida August 6th - 13th, I believe the Marlins have ALL homestands that week against the Cards, Braves and Giants...I'll be going to ATLEAST 3 games the week I will be in the South FLA, Anyone wanna get together for some brews and wings at hooters in Davie, then some tailgating and the game? Or maybe some tailgating, game, hardrock ?!!? It would be cool to meet some guys and have a good time at the marlins game.......Let me know!!!

Dominguez was sent to minor league camp today. Can't say this is a big surprise given his troubles hitting anything with movement on it. I think it was wishful thinking/hoping on the FO's part that he could be the starting 3B with his hitting flaws.

Looks like it. 3 of 4, 2 HR, 7 RBI.

Too bad it’s just Spring training, but damn. Then again, we’re eight days away from the opener, so it’s a good time for him to start hitting fantastic.

So according to Frisaro, one of Stanton's homeruns would have gone an estimated 500 feet had it not hit the billboard :pointlol:

What do you guys think of these over/unders?

    Mike Stanton: 39 homeruns

    Hanley Ramirez: .325 avg

    Dan Uggla: 30 1/2 homeruns

    Ricky Nolasco/Josh Johnson: Combined 34 1/2 wins

I think Vegas nailed the Marlins perfectly.

Anyway, the batting order is released:

    And the pitching rotation:

I think we're sick 1-7. And hopefully Buck can do something at the plate (he'll def regress from last year imo). 8 spot is ugly for now and most likely be the worst spot all year but who knows.

Under for HRs for Stanton. Not that I don't think he can hit 40 because he obviously has the power but if I'm putting money on it I'll take the under.

Under for Hanley. Again he's capable of hitting well over .325 but he's a career .313 hitter so far although he is entering the prime of his career. It's close.

    Uggla over.

Under on the pitcher's wins. I think it's a suckers bet to bet on pitcher's wins, especially since wins aren't really something a pitcher can control. Plus Johnson and Nolasco don't exactly have the best medical track record either.

Maybin ties the game in the 9th with a solo homerun with 2 outs.

Over/under on the amount of chairs Loria threw watching Maybin today is 4.

So who’s going to opening night tomorrow? I unfortunately can’t, but I’ll be watching.

I wish we could play someone else on opening day besides the Mutts.

Enjoy the experience. One year until the new ballpark. Might be time to look at season tickets for some obscure corner of the stadium.

stanton: under 39 this year. He will hit 39 at some point soon though.
    Hanley: Over 325
Uggla: Over 30.5 Homers. ATL is pretty conducive to flyball hitters
Ricky Nolasco/Josh Johnson: under combined 34 1/2 wins (dont trust johnson's health or nolasco's command...though I hope I am wrong about Johnsons health)

Nolasco has superb command. career 2.1 walks per nine, under 2 last year. Crazy sauce.

I'd like to change my Johnson/Nolasco pick to under, on the grounds of thinking it was 24, not 34.
