After watching that game, maybe we shouldn't feel so bad, but I still do. The Giants, the Superbowl champs got whooped by the Browns. The Browns?? Going into that game the Giants were at the top of the league in almost every important statistical category and they got abused by the Browns, whom are quite low on that list in a lot or at least some of those categories. It just shows that in the NFL today with free agency and technology in filming(see the Pats.)=) and in strength and conditioning etc. and the massive amount of money that players and the NFL in general make(more than all of the other sports combined) we are going to see less stability with teams and things like this will happen. It's so different today. The cliche "any given Sunday" applies now more than ever.

With that said, I think we can all see that we are headed in the right direction and we are finally biting the bullet and starting to build things the right way, with the trenches first and not blowing the bank and crippling our future with patchwork free agents. At least we didn't get whooped like the Superbowl champs just did. We lost by one point. A couple of plays go our way and we win that game. That catch by Johnson at the end was amazing and very lucky. The coverage was great on that play. There wasn't much else he could do. Not to take anything away from A. Johnson, he's an amazing receiver, but they were pretty lucky on that one as we were unfortunately the unlucky ones.

I guess I'm surprised when I hear people now saying(not just here)that the coaching staff now stinks or just going off on them in general and that they feel worse after this loss than any other in Dolphin history. That's weird. We can all see the big improvements with this team. We are already 100 percent improved from last year.=) It's a process. We're going in the right direction. I think we, myself included, should just enjoy the ride and hopefully we'll continue to improve and show real progress. Rome wasn't built in a day(for another cheesy cliche) or one off season for that matter. We're getting there. I can't believe I feel this way because my whole life I've taken any Dolphin loss real, real badly, but I feel that we're are finally on the way up JMO.

I agree .After a loss especially one that that we thought was in the bag there is a lot of disappointment and finger pointing but we should not lose sight that with the exception of one game we were competetive until the end of the game .

We should feel comforted that we are heading in the right direction .We are still a few players away from becoming true playoff contenders.

I have no illusions of making the playoffs this year .We are going to win a lot of games during the rest of the season and thats all we can expect from a new regime .

    BTW welcome to the site

Well, the Browns were considered one of the better teams in the AFC coming into the season, they were just playing real bad. In fact, I took the Browns last night outright for the win. The Giants were getting to relaxed all week and the Plax thing took with him not caring hit the locker room.

Thanks a lot! It's great! I'll post a formal introduction in that forum soon.

.....and totally! I agree. As for that Arizona game, well they seem to be pretty good this year. They have beaten a couple of good teams already. Thanks again!

Just thought I'd throw this out there. Our season isn't done.

Can't win them all. Being "perfect" is not always a good thing (ask the Patriots). Giants will be fine and will make the playoffs and potentially win their division. Eli definitely has to play better though.

Cleveland is also a tough place to play. It was their first Monday Night game since '03. Guarantee you that was one hostile crowd.
