Our 2 toughest games are behind us and we were in position to win both even tho we played like ****. Gase has to get these guys playing a full 48min, not just 24.

Thought vance joseph was very late with adjustments and had no answers to stopping the run, that was disappointing. Tanny showing he can do enough to win games, but is not good enough to compensate for our lack of talent, our guys(defense) need to step up.

I disagree. Tannehill played well second half. Unscripted runs, good throws.

What more do you want from him??

    Yeah, I kind of agree.

The irony is that our hurry-up offense looks great. I love what I see from our 4-minute offense. I don't understand why we don't operate with that kind of urgency all game.

We're way too slow coming out of the gates. I can only hope that it's something that goes away as the season goes along.

Whatever!A true franchise qb would have tied the game with 1:10 left.Don't give me the crap of no timeouts left blah blah blah!He failed when it mattered..

    Huh?

You're unreasonable. We should see 1000 new topics about our ****ty defense, but I see the usual suspects going after Tannehill.

I agree, but for this game most of the fault lies on defense.

Tannehill played like a franchise QB the 2nd half and did more than enough to put the team in position to win. Still.. he played like crap the first half.

So the question is do we see the 2nd half offense rest of the season or was that just an aberration?

the really good news is the patriots may lose the next two games because of the injury to garrapalo. no way they beat houston without garrapalo. if we beat cleveland and cincy and they lose to houston and buffalo we will actually make up a game on them. We injure every qb that plays us so far this season

This notion that the franchise QB just reaches into his magic sack in key parts of games and pulls out tds just won't die.

That last drive Stills had a piss poor effort on one ball, and Parker didn't play the last one very well. What specifically would you have liked differently from Tannehill on the last drive?

If the defense steps up on the last drive after the offense has stepped up the whole second half, Tannehill gets 2+ mins and timeouts on that last drive and a very good chance at overtime.

He could've thrown a TD on the last pass with a better ball.

Oh.. and Tannehill isn't that great at time management.

You stuff the run and dare the third string QB to throw on you with the game on the line. You don't let the oline and Blount pick up chunk yardage on runs.

The Pats were nervous and that stadium was silent- it was our game to lose because we beat the poo out of them in the second half. I'm never a fan of losing but that 2nd half gives me hope for what the season will bring. Two clubs on the road where nobody wins- and we darn near stole them both. By Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll be okay with that.

Only problem is the reason for hope is different and inconsistent. Why did the defense not show up this game after Seattle?

Gotta see evidence the 2nd half offense is the real offense first. But yes, at least for one game it's a ray of hope (small ray given the history of this franchise).

Great. So you admit it's unfair, yet continue to use it as a metric to judge QBs. That's lazy and wrong.

You're really really trying to find all kinds of excuses for the QB.

Just accept the result. 2nd half offense great, 1st half terrible. Tannehill was part of both.

Also.. IF there's a player that deserves a MOTM designation for the Dolphins this game it's Parker.

Clearly watched different games. If there qb had not gotten hurt we easily lose 50+ to 10. Entire second half was garbage time for. No silver lining for me same old phone started slow and horrible finally wake up when it's to laye

Team doesn't know how to finish or complement each other. Patriots crush the defense in the first half and the offense can't even dream of keeping pace with them. Offense needs some time to tie the game up at the end and the defense lets NE run 5 minutes and 3 timeouts off the board. So much of pro football is momentum and neither side of the ball can generate it when they're relied on to. The second week of avoidable turnovers.

Someone has to make a play in either of these situations. Everybody needs to get their heads out of their asses. If they're not playing yellow one play they're looking green the next.

A road game against NE with Brady and Gronk out, and their 3rd string QB playing the entire second half is one of the two toughest games you play this year?

Seriously. That's a TD if Parker plays that ball better. Tannehill is not the reason we lost

that's later. But the Pats at 2-2 keeps them within striking distance. by week five we should be a little better. it usually takes eight weeks for an offense or defense to learn a new scheme and we have both sides learning new schemes. we wont know how good or bad our team really is until week 8 but i suspect we will have a high powered offense and a 20th or so ranked defense. Going into the bye I expect us to be 3-4 and 6-3 in the last nine once everyone is on the same page. There are only six games this year where we are outmatched going into the game and we just played two of them. Win the games where we outmatch the other team and split the others and we are 9-7. not playoffs but improved. do better and steal a game or two and we might make the playoffs. we're not as bad week eight as we appear right now. the trick is to hover around .500 until we work all the kinks out and get everyone on the same page in our new offensive and defensive schemes

Yep. Sadly i knew the D would get run over despite knowing they have to run the ball. The coaches shouldve been run blitzing that entire last drive. Taking that 1st timeout on 2nd and 1 was stupid too. Wasted a TO. Only complaint i have with Thill in the 2nd half was that last pass. It was a **** throw. You have got to give Parker a chance to make a play. He is great on jump balls and likely comes down with that on a decent throw. He is our 1 bright spot. The one young talented guy we have on offense. Parker and the oline giving thill tremendous pass protection. Parker and tunsil are keepers. Hard pressed to find another playmaker but its nice to see an oline be good at protecting. Definitely cant blame the oline when the offense struggles in the passing game. 1st half was complete garbage just like Sea. 2 great qtrs and 6 pathetic ones so far by thill and the offense. On a side note. Pouncey and Suh were dumb deals feom day 1 that just continue to look worse and worse.

The throw to parker could have been a little better, but I right parker shat the bed, and didn't play it right, taking him right out of the play.

Both Tannehill and Parker could've played that one play better. It's a totally minor point.

The main point is the 2nd half offense was great with Tannehill looking like a frachise QB, while the 1st half offense was terrible with Tannehill looking like he needs replacing.

Which offense shows up in the future is what really counts.
