My favorite movie as a kid was Planet of the Apes and he was a big reason why.

    RIP Taylor.

He was a very Noble man, I liked the cut of his jig, he will be missed

May Angels sing you to rest Chuck Heston:

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.

That sucks. Amazingly enough, I watched Planet of the Apes last night on AMC. He was a great actor and person.

One of my personal heroes passes. A sad day for me.
I will always remember how he crystallized freedom in me one day: "From my cold, dead hands..."
RIP, brother. You were a MAN among men, and will not be forgotten.

His cameo in "Wayne's World" ruled, and "Planet of the Apes" & "The Ten Commandments" were his showcases.

    R.I.P. Charlton. :(

I am saddened by his passing, but I know he was living with Alzheimers for years now, so maybe for him, it's a relief to be free of the pain and confusion of the last few years.
He was a hell of an actor and a good man.

Very very sad. As I mentioned to my wife, he was right up there with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.

    Amazing actor
    Amazing man

God takes care of the good ones, as he will with you Mr Heston

He played a Mexican in Orson Welles' "Touch of Evil" which is kind of funny, an American Icon like Heston, playing a Mexican.

    Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?

At least he's now away from those "damn dirty apes."

I loved him best as Moses and Ben Hur. He was such a good actor.
My prayers go out to his family.
