Wow.
Just wow.
Don't know if I ever mentioned this, but I work for a cable company-don't really want to say which one, but I do.
I started off on the phones as a salesperson, and not to toot my own horn too loudly, but I was damn good at it.
I routinely made huge commission checks, not because I was cheating customers, but because I would work with them to get them the best service for the best price we could offer, and explain the promotional terms, etc. in DETAIL so there would be no confusion.
This led to them having friends, relatives, neighbors call and ask for me so I got their sales too.
This chick obviously has no concept of how to obtain or retain a customer.
I am no longer on the sales end, I moved up to the Quality Control team, so now I monitor peoples order entry and accuracy.
One of our jobs is to introduce ourselves and what we do to all our training classes, and when we walked into the most recent one, there was a former employee who had been re-hired in there.
I went to say hello and she gave me a big hug and told the guy next to her "This is the guy I was telling you about-the one who taught me so much about how to make money here!"
That felt GREAT.
