The Greatest Single Guitar Solo in History...PERIOD!

Can a MOD please fix my thread title to "Greatest" instead of "Greastest". :)

I just wanted to see other guitar solos that you all thought were incredible.

Well Eddie Van Halen would agree with you. He says Hendix was the best. I personally think EVH was better. He just put everything at the time together, came up with unearthly sounds of his own, and mixed it all together...MASTERED it, IMO.

I think he was tied with Steve Vai for #1 in the world at the time he died. Definately one of the bests ever. :up:

Also Gustavo Guerra won Guitar Idol 2008. :)

agree to disagree. EVH was a student of Eric Clapton, though he had respect for Hendrix, Beck and to some degree Page. EC was his influence.

What I am saying is that Eddie Van Halen himself has always said that Jimi Hendrix was the best guitar player of all time.

And one for brother John. The first time I heard this version was in the mid 80's. I wasn't paying attention and heard this on the TV and wondered where this version came from, I was a Huge Hendrix fan in those days-he was all I listened to. Then I realized it wasn't Hendrix at all....
