All four players deserve the trophy so I am happy with either of the 4 winning. Yeah good job. He had 38 carries that game and had 29 carries 3 other times. Gerhart averages 26 carries a game while Ingram averages 18. Gerhart is only less than 300 yards away from Ingram and has 90 more carries. I am going out on the limb and saying that Ingram would get more than 300 yards if he got 90 carries
The finalists have been announced: 1. Toby Gerhart 2. Mark Ingram 3. Colt McCoy 4. Ndamukong Suh 5. Tim Tebow Tebow shouldn't be there. Spiller should.
As someone who has seen a good 6-7 of his games this year, I'm not sure McCoy belongs in the top 30 of the Heisman voting, let alone top 5.
Ingram has been an average RB this year. certainly compared to Gerhart, it's not even remotely close.
Ingram's only a sophomore, and he had a great season. He deserves to at least be a finalist for the Heisman.
Que? He's better than Hardesty or Tate (and I like Tate a lot). Other than those 2, the only one who i could see someone arguing as to who is better is Dixon. And while I think Dixon is extremely underrated, I think Ingram is better overall.
Yeah there is no QB love and Tebow man love when the guy that almost blows a NC appearance because he does not know the rule on throwing the ball OOB and is 19th in passing efficency......and the 7th ranked passer in the SEC and 49th ranked in the NCAA in passing yards (84th in CPG) both get invited to the ceremony...but hey one is a great runner ....... he was 84th in the country in rushing....well above everyone in CFB except 83 guys................yeah there is a little Tebow and McCoy love going on IMHO.....Suh should win IMHO...will not happen though....and how is it that CJ Spiller is not on more lists?
My ballot would probably read Suh, Gerhart, Ingram. My expectation is that Ingram wins although I heard yesterday that an early poll of about 200 voters had Suh ahead.
I think Suh has a legitimate shot at winning and here is why. If there was ever a defensive player to win it would be this year...average elsewhere and Suh has been a beast. This year many more ballots were not returned, only 6% were actually in before the Bama-Florida game. So people were waiting to see Tebow, McCoy, and Ingram....Suh just blew people away. I think people were looking to see if Ingram blew people away and he played extremely well so IMHO it comes down to Ingram and Suh with Gerthardt also in the mix possibly. I think McCoy may pull some votes from Suh geographically because the definition between Suh and McCoy is not huge....bad for Suh. But I also think that the difference now after all is said and done is huge between Ingram and Tebow who does not belong in the building IMHO....but Tebow will still draw some Ingram votes regionally because of the media man love...so that gives Suh a better shot. I think the West goes Gerhard by a wide margin but there are not enough votes from the West to put him over the top....in the end I think Ingram wins with Suh a close second, Gerhard third, McCoy fourth and Tebow fifth.....but that is just my opinion and I also think Suh has a legit shot if the man love in the Southeast for Tebow draws enough votes from Ingram.
He is the far away favorite and I think he will win also...but I would not be shocked to see Suh pull the stunner.
