good point, I am sure his Son has all the notes and such.. now, if they REALLY had stones, they'd take on the Silmarillion
Del Toro, outside of Peter Jackson, is the only director with enough imagination to make this work. I absolutely love his work, Pan's Labyrinth was a masterpiece. Should be exciting to see what he does.
THE WORLD'S first 14567 hour movie. I like it. Of course they would have to charge $10,000 a ticket just so they could break even at the box office
And McKellen is confirmed to reprise the role of Gandalf http://www.reuters.com/article/ente...80430?feedType=RSS&feedName=entertainmentNews
We have to wait another 4 years for the Hobbit? That was my favourite story when I was 10. It's about time!
Getting Viggo, Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis is the only way this works IMO. Viggo IS Aragorn (Stryder) as McCellen IS Gandalf and Serkis IS Gollum. I'm so excited about this.
glad they secured gandalf........like someone posted before, they MUST get viggo as stryder.....it wont work in my eyes if it is someone else
Great idea! It should only take about 40 movies to get that across! LOL! Del Torro better not screw it up! LOTR's were a work of art, LOVE those movies... They are an experience, not just movies.
I heard a rumor the other day that had David Tennant as Bilbo. I like Tennant a lot, but that one was hard to wrap my brain around.
'The Hobbit' Gets Its Greenlight http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/wrap-hobbit-greenlight.html much more in the link. with jackson directing, i cannot wait
I couldn't resist... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM9lpP51LPw"]YouTube - South Park Lemmiwinks song[/ame] Seriously, though, as someone who watched the original "Hobbit" cartoon and finished the Silmarilion, I'm anticipating this film as well.
