P.S. I hate Peyton Manning too. I tried using the Titans( I had the lead and blew it) which, I might work more with them. I like putting White at FB and having Johnson at RB. Plus putting Vince back in makes him a threat to run, I think I might try a west coast offense w them see how it goes.
ive lost to the jags, giants, titans, cowboys, raiders from people FB diving the entire game. Those games are hard to win because if your offense stalls even once, you may never get another chance to recover. I def. don't play like that. I always align my strongest RB to be my FB. Ahman Green and Steve Slaton make for a fierce running game. But I never take it to the extreme and pound the rock 20 times in a row. Its fun to get the ball to everyone. Sure, I'll play you again.
if you can master passing the ball with bad WRs, you can dominate with the Titans. P.S. Remember that one time? when you used the Dolphins against me, and user controlled Matt Roth the entire game, just because he's from Iowa. Good times.
Haha, I do that when people can't stop me or I know I have a bad defense so I try to keep the offense off the field. I love running the ball. I've had 42 carries in one game with one player before lol. WARNING: If this is cheesy, don't worry, I'm poor and don't have online play. That will be all.
Something is wrong with the ranking system. I was ranked somewhere around 4500 last night. Then this afternoon im unranked? Then I play one game, and now I'm ranked higher than i ever was before. 3440 Im confused, but WOOT!
AGAIN I gave up a lead and lost. How frustrating. I played this kid online and he played like crap, and still beat me, its the mistakes I make that cost me the games, the ints are killing me. I could have killed this kid, if NOT for the ints. I mean who goes for it twice on 4th and 7 from their own 34 in the first quarter? lol.....oh well..
heres a tip to cut back on ints. go into practice mode (not an insult, i do it too) and set the defense to random plays. Then pick a route for one of your WRs, and run that play a whole bunch of times in a row. Take notice of how the defenders react the instant the ball is snapped. Once youve done this with all of your different routes, you'll get a comfort zone for where you like to attack the defense. You'll get better at reading defenses on the fly. And you'll have a better idea for when you can gun the ball into small spaces, and more importantly, when you cant. I actually think pracitce mode is fun. Sometimes I try to get 10 first downs in a row with the same play. Its tough.
Too bad I have no idea how to post those video highlights like you guys do, I would love to show the draw I did last night with Vince Young for 65 yards and a TD. Oh and too bad I couldn't record Gish crying...that was priceless as well.
if you're logged into Xbox, when you view the replay it gives you the option to upload it to the EA server. So my misfortunes with Madden continue. I was up 14-0 on the cowboys using the 9ers with 17 seconds left in the first half. I drove down to the 20 yard line and was getting ready to kick a field goal when the game starting to lag enough. It froze on me just as I flicked the stick and when it stopped it screwed my kick to where it only filled a little and I missed the FG. So then he has the ball at the 44 yd line and score and goes on to win 21-14.
Sounds like you need some defensive help mate. Turn on the LOS marker, go to a Cover 2 or 3 and line up your OLB right at the LOS. From there, blitz and you'll get to the QB nearly every time.
I use my brothers accoutn...hit LegoThug up if you want a game. I used to play madden A TON but this is my first week back in awhile.
I always found it around the area where you can adjust the penalties. I don't know if that helps lol. I haven't played Madden in forever.

WOHOOO! I actually won a frickin game!! I booted up 09 online for the first time last night - was going to just confine the game to history after being so poor on 08 (1 - 18 I think!) but thought what the hell! still can't run or defend the pass but neither could the other guy! now I just might retire with a winning record before I get humiliated! lol
I cant beleive I threw 5 picks in one game and actually won it. Then I beat someone using the saints with the Browns 20-7. Good night for me.
By reading what you guys have said and done actually helped my win - rather than just lobbing it up like I would normally do online I remembered some of the stuff to look out for and did a spot of practice too! think I'll stick with online for maybe 1 or 2 more games now
I have actually pulled off a 4 game win streak. Its all about finding what kind of team you feel comfortable with and finding a D that can be dependable. Another thing I have found that works well is if you have a speed back if you can get him lined up against a LB, if he is on a streak route you can usually bomb him the ball.

WTF is wrong with this picture/video? EA SPORTS World - Madden 09 Video Highlight This is one of the reasons I absolutely loathe this ****ing game. This particular play was a 4th and 1 early in the game, but it had huge implications. I immediately challenged the play and the game actually reviewed the play after the "catch" and checked to see if he fumbled when he was tackled. Nevermind that it wasn't a legal catch to begin with! WTF!!!??? Add to this the number of lamer ******* who play this game that only play hurry up offense, use the Gaytriots as their team, run RB direct snap for 10 consecutive plays, and continue to go for it on every single 4th down, no matter even if it is 4th and 23 with a 2 point game, this bull**** game seems to reward those *******s 2/3 of the time and lets them make a miraculous first down. /end Madden rant

Me too, its more arcade than "in the game"! then again if its the gaytriots being awarded despite the rule book saying otherwise...
those 2 games made me so angry. through both games every drive i had ended in a touchdown or a fumble. something like 7 fumbles in 2 games. thats insane. mostly in the red zone too. then i play enforcer last night and a fumble costs me the game again. i dont know how to prevent this. i try diving to avoid the hit, that causes fumbles too. i try holding RB to protect the ball, doesnt matter, FUMBLE!!! how do i stop this? is it just because im using horrible teams? i dont know, but it sucks. also, way to abuse the rb direct snap. next time you will be pwned.

Very interested. Bored as hell and unemployed for the forseeable future. I created a 1 month access account today..... Daphins (luckily it wasn't taken) that I may extend. If we do a league that goes on longer I might just use my brothers Legothug. I was starting to water his friends list down so I decided to create my own profile for his sake lol. I play on getting a 360 or 720 someday anyway so figured I should call daphins.

I got my first blocked kick today. Continue reading for story..... I wanted a Pats/Phins matchup. Bam! First random quick match is Dolphins vs Pats. We both know what's up and click READY immediately. He wins the toss, and takes the 16 mph wind for the 4th quarter. I take the ball after halftime. We both used standard depth charts, straight up, no Tom Brady, no Michael Lehan. He started off quick by beating my zone a few times. I switched it up a bit, but he broke a tackle and got a TD. I eat up 4 minutes and even the score. Next drive he misses an easy FG because of the wind. After the half I eat up 4 1/2 minutes and take the lead 14-7. Next possesion for him, I purposely let him scrammble around and eat my cover 3 zone. Then once he gets in FG range, I send a nasty corner blitz. Will Allen strips the ball and Langford recovers. Reviewed, oveturned as an imcomplete pass, TOTAL BS. Was the most fumbliest fumble of alltime. So his drive continues. He ends up attempting a 55 yard FG, and misses wide left. So I got the ball, a 7 point lead, and 3+ minutes to chew up. I run the ball once to the outside, and once up the gut, both for a loss. 3rd and 13, Shotgun Snugs Mesh Flipped. Rolled out to the right. Pennington motions playmaker to Camarillo on the crossing route. Camarillo cuts up field and I hit him with a touch pass for a 30+ yard gain. I settle for a FG with 1:50 remaining. He's got 2 timeouts. On his next drive he gets a miracle catch in traffic from Moss, all my dbs collide and fall down. TD Moss. Then when I least expect it, Yeremiah Bell squeezes through the line and blocks the extra point, making it a 4 point game instead of 3. He tries for the onside, and fails. I kneel to eat up his last timeout, and then run the Fake Punt Run repeatedly until the clock expires (my version of the wildcat ) 17-13 Dolphins win!!!!!! Take that you dirty Pats fan!!!!!!
