The Mummy 3

I liked The Mummy 1 & 2, although The Scorpion King sucked. I'll probably check this one out too.

 

I dunno man...first, when I think mummies I think Egypt, not China.

Second....no Rachel Weis?

That was my wifes first reaction as well during the trailer.

 

looks awesome, I really liked the other 2.

 

I can handle it being in China instead of Egypt but I second that Weiss thing. Too bad Universal had ants in their pants otherwise they'd wait for Weiss's schedule to open up. Maria Bello? Come on...

 

Exactly...the chemistry between Fraser and Weis made the other movies, IMO.

 

And Weiss is infinitely the better actress. The Mummy producers should've just made something else up like she stayed home or something rather than bring in a lesser actress who looks nothing alike.

 

Not to rain on everyone's parade, but don't get too excited about this film ... it won't be like the first two. First of all, there is no Rachel Weiss, which really just sucks. Secondly, the film is not being directed by Stephen Sommers, it's being directed by Rob Bowman, who has such amazing films as Stealth, XXX and the Fast and the Furious under his belt. That's fine for some folks, but I wasn't really a fan of any of those films. There's a reason this one isn't being released in June or July, Universal is hedging their bets. I'll probably wait for reviews and ultimately pass on it.

 

IDK, looks like a good bet to fit the franchise well. Weiss being gone is a bummer, but Maria Bello is no slouch.
