Here it is... the new trade block for the Chargers... oops how'd that get in there... WR Buster Davis @ $510,000... The former #1 pick from LSU has had a difficult time breaking in to the starting lineup with the Chargers. You may remember him as "Craig Davis." He was okay in his rookie season, 20 catches and one start. Yet last season, due to injury, he was only involved in four games. What's his value, certainly not a first round pick... what could be his value to your team? Well, perhaps everything. Certainly a viable #3 WR. WR Malcom Floyd @ $1.5mill... at 6ft 5in, 225 pounds, the former Wyoming Cowboy is an inviting redzone target. He caught 27 balls last season for 465 yards, a 17.2 yard average, and four touchdowns. I tagged him at the 2nd round restricted level, and am quite frankly surprised that nobody bid on him.... is he still worth a second round pick, you decide? RB Darren Sproles... yes he has that 6.6million as his cap number. But you can't put a value on what he brings to the table. Capable of taking any play to the house, what can he add to your offense??? everything. If you have the cap room still... why not use it on Mr Sproles and significantly improve your offense. He is more electric than any running back you'll see in this year's draft. But I'm certainly not asking for a top 10 pick in return. I'd prefer a pick, or a running back and a pick... RB Jerious Norwood... He's probably top five in the league in terms of speed. Need we say more? A player much like Sproles, but without the cap figure, $530k RB/FB Jacob Hester... I've knocked the thought of trading Hester around since I became the GM of the Chargers. He has many intangibles... great special teams player. I can recount one story that I read about him that happened last season. He was the upback on a punt... noticed that the punt return team wasn't set right... he called for a fake punt HIMSELF... how many rookies would even think about that? Of course, the fake was successful, Chargers first down. You want a player like that on your team? Former second round pick from LSU with a rookie salary cap of $385K T Jeromey Clary... I brought him back as an ERFA, $700k... started every game last year for the Chargers at RT. Solid young player with starting ability on the line and a smallish salary... they are hard to find. S Paul Oliver Highly coveted player when he came out a couple years ago in the supplemental draft. The Chargers wisely used a fourth round pick on him. Has coverage ability... solid free safety prospect. Now then... I may move a couple of these guys... but obviously at any one position, WR or RB especially, it would be very unlikely that I'll move MORE than one. So, if you're thinking about putting an offer on one of those players, you'd better act fast! Because once I move either a back or a wide receiver, the guy you're interested in may no longer be available. That is why it's imperative that you contact me via PM and start the negotiation process quickly. I've had multiple offers already on Hester... on Floyd... even on Sproles.... Consider it friendly advice... GM to GM...
still a 3rd. 68 players got taken ahead of him. How many are taken ahead of #44 and #56 in Miami's draft this year? Would you mind if 68 were taken ahead of each?
Do you have any picks left? I just looked over your roster and I don't see anything that interests me too much... Shockey... but I'd have to throw in a pick on my side... is Shockey even available?
Something is going down tonight... at least two guys will be moved... if you want in on the action, PM me or hit me up on AIM (paul_13_herald@yahoo.com) ... lets talk
Told you the action would be heavy tonight... Thanks KC and Sea for partaking in the madness... still more to come... perhaps... maybe...mmmmm
