Mobile phones, iPods and other consumer devices may soon be able to hold a hundred times more information than they do at present thanks to a breakthrough in storage technology.
Scientists at IBM say they have developed a new type of digital storage which would enable a device such as an MP3 player to store about half a million songs - or 3,500 films - and cost far less to produce.

I'm only at 500 songs :(

lol, download more music imo.

Nah, he's good. Most people only put about 100 songs on their iPod and use the shuffle function exclusively.
I don't get people who put their entire music libraries on their players. Why would you want to sort through all that music? I just create a smart playlist tier that randomly selects songs from my library and sync with that playlist. I also have a playlist of about 200 songs that I select myself.
I swear, when I get my iPhone, most of that storage space will go towards movies and pictures taken with the camera. -
I keep everything on my Ipod because I never know what I'll be in the mood for. Then i make a few playlists of about 100 or so songs of different genres. Cant go wrong with having too much music to choose from :up:Jt0323 likes this.

I agree, some times im in the mood for songs like metallica type songs, and sometimes in the mood for Beatles type of songs or eddie vedder type and some times i need my Eminem rap type fix, i like having a various of types of music to listen to.

Ya, Ive been using that since college. Problem is that in the time before that I accumulated about 600 cd's since my mom used to get them on the cheap. At some point ill ebay a lot of them real cheap and get what I can from them.

My iPhone is 8GB and I've got about 20-25 albums and 4-5 movies on there.
Then, I've got an 80GB iPod with over 10,000 songs. (used mostly for car)
Man, I couldn't imagine having more space than what's on my iPod Classic. -
you can always just get a Zune and put whole albums on there.
