your logic would work if there isn't exorbitant compensation involved. 5MM + comp worth avoiding a bidding war? I dunno. This assumes that Finnegan would be cut though otherwise.
I say let him cut Finnegan! I also love his tactics in the past... "I'll trade you X for Y plus I'll release Z so you can bid on him in FA."
I'm not cutting Finnegan, he's too valuable. This is the problem, all you guys see is a salary. We here in St. Louis see the player. And Finnegan is a great player. He will not be released.
hah... but that is factually incorrect. I said I wouldn't cut Finnegan but would cut Nnamdi because he's not worth half the salary hes on the books for.
you know how many touchdowns Cortland Finnegan has given up in the last 25 games? ZERO according to PFF... ZERO!!! Same amount of times Todd has been laid this decade.
That's cause I only date supermodels rather than the piglets you settle for who can be bought with a tub of Ben & Jerry's and a promise that next time it'll be her turn.
another thing about getting Finnegan now, before free agency starts... you'll have addressed your corner back needs and don't have to use one of your FIVE free agent bids on the position. Since we're down to 5 bids instead of 10, you might want to take note of this!!
