Put an asterisk by this season. These officials have no idea what is going on. The conclusion of the GB/Seattle game sums it up clearly. An interception is called a TD.
Kind of like a lost fumble recovered by the defense in the end zone is called a TD for the offense? Oh wait, that was the regular refs.
There will be a riot if this keeps up. NFL is lucky that the home teams of the last 2 prime time games have won with the BS calls (Ravens and now Seahawks). This is like a slap in the face for NFL viewers.
As a NFL viewer (not a fan of any of the 4 teams involved) I don't feel slapped in the face. Both games were extremely entertaining to me, albeit somewhat chaotic.
Damien Woody had a funny tweet, said the Real Refs are popping champaign like the '72 Dolphins now. They've got all the leverage. I'd check out Darnell Dockett's as well. What a disgrace to the NFL that was...
I don't know what you're referring to either. EDIT: You're not talking about Steelers-Dolphins from 2010 are you? Because I don't think the Steelers were given a TD on that play. Though I don't remember completely other than we were screwed.
Ok whatever. The majority of NFL fans feel robbed of a fair outcome by these morons officiating. Im happy you would'nt mind blind people officiating other teams games, but do you really feel the need to play devils advocate?
See, I forgot that was ruled a TD for the Steelers. I thought they were given the ball on the one. That's why I was confused.
Not playing devil's advocate, giving my actual opinion on the past two MNF games. It just happens to oppose your view. Not doing it on purpose.
I guess on replay they changed it back from a TD, but it still wasn't the right call regardless. And that was the "real" refs.
Love it. LOVE IT. Miami literally has a 50/50 chance no matter the team, no matter the week. That's far better than our outlook at the beginning of the year. Thank you scabs.
I don't remember either way. All I remember was that we were screwed and being extremely pissed about it for a long time.
Check out the field goal that ended the Patsies game. Clearly a miss. LOVE IT
It looked good to me on replay (above the goal post, which is still good). Never could have been reversed on replays that were available anyways. Edit: This video isn't even conclusive either, since it's offset to the left and you have no way to judge the ball where it's at in relation to the goal post (front to back).
i would say that was because of the angle it was shot, but if my physics serves me right a hard angle from that side of the goal post should make it seem MORE in if anything...
Good. Im happy for you that you can watch tainted football and be fine with it. That makes 1 happy soldier!
Not sure if serious... Id rather watch a league with integrity in the outcomes than come away with a couple cheap wins.
The replacement refs are obviously worse, but its not like the regular ones are perfect. Recall Super Bowl XL. Phins/Steelers like 2/3 years ago. Music City Miracle (clearly a forward pass). But I know, far more bad calls are being made by the replacements. NFL should still put the best out there and stop being greedy.
Cool. I guess you should quit watching until the regular refs are back. Even if I let it bother me more, it wouldn't change how the game plays out.
Don't forget the saints game a few years back when sharper fumbled at the 3 but they still gave him the pick 6
It always looked slightly forward to me, maybe because the player moved back...but because it was against the Bills (and in 2000) I don't really give much a **** so I'll give it to you and say it was a lateral.
And the play I am citing was clearly a fumble and recovery for Miami before replay IMHO. Where the comparison fails (if anywhere IMO) is one happened around 2:30 in the 4th, and the other was at 0:00 in the 4th. We can cite the Hochuli play where he robbed the Chargers of a win in 2008 vs the Broncos when Cutler fumbled it and Hochuli called it incomplete if you want another example.
In the dolphins jet game, did anyone else notice when we challenged the Thomas fumble and lost, we didn't lose a time out? Was I dreaming that ? Sent from my iPhone
When the sprinklers went off that day in Jacksonville on the field we all knew it wasn't going to be our day.
Not even close. I saw that Clemons made a big play on the replay. I saw the GB DB intercept the ball in real time and lose the game.
I never said I will quit watching. The games are tainted and people are upset. If you don't feel that way you are in the minority. Why do you feel the need to make an argument over nothing?
And I saw Clemons made a big play on real time, and I saw two guys come down fighting for a ball until I saw it again on replay.
