Last 5 years....
FAVORITES (been the HOME team in ALL but 1 instance) are 25-5 against the spread. So not only do they win..but cover the spread.
Since THANKSGIVING Games have been on at night in the last 5 years...
the FAVORITE is 5-0 Against the Spread. The favorite has been the HOME team.
so basically..we have this: Home teams are in the W/L sense 30-4 on Thursday night games.
In Summation...this is toooo short a week for even a evenly matched road team to have a chance.
The numbers do not lie. That is TOOOOO much of an advantage.

If you really like the Fins tonight....find a bookie and show them this trend...and try to get him to give you good odds on the money line.

WOW after reading this I just dont know how those 4 teams could have ever won those games against odds stacked against then like that...I mean could u imagine traveling on a plane for 4 hours while the other team is laying on there sofas. And to have to play at night in a un-familiar place on a un-familiar night. I couldnt even imagine what they get paid to have to do that.

It's a ridiculous advantage. Myself, have been against Thursday night football for quite some time now.
OT: Kinda ludicrous how the NFL is ready and willing to put banged up players on short rest like they do. Thanksgiving games also make me sick to my stomach; all for some extra ad-revenue.Section126 likes this. -

This win is bigger than it seems.
bucking a 31-4 LOCK..(not a trend when it is 31-4)..is HUGE.
But the point still stands.......
they HAVE TO get rid of these Thursday night games......
LOOK at our injuries tonight.
We might not get that many guys hurt on a full week of rest.
And it wasn;t just us. Look at the Panthers.

By the way, at one point there was an easy offsides call late in the game and when one ref told the head ref the call he did a REALLY pissed off, "Ah, CRAP!!!! WHY!?!?" expression. What the HELL do the refs care if the Panthers get a call against them????
That was the first time I have honestly started to wonder if there was a predetermined bias against a team (us) for this game. -

Yep, I totally agree on the getting rid of Thursday Nights thing. It was just downright pandemonium out there. They should have thrown Tom Brady to the Thursday Night wolves.
