Despite what some people feel how it should have ended With Steve Carell leaving, the historic run of the Office is coming to an end. I enjoyed this show in its 9 seasons. Sad to see it go, but next week is it. I do think Steve comes back based on next week episode being Dwights wedding.
Yeah last season was just god awful, at least this season had a few good episodes mixed in. I thought last night's episode, minus the stuff with Andy, was great. Kind of wish they made Dwight the manager and Jim the side kick for a bit longer. Even the season Michael left was very uneven but it's hard to make a comedy or any show consistently funny/good for even 3 or 4 years let alone 9. And yes Steve Carrell will probably make a short 2 minute cameo or something. Perhaps just as Dwight is about to marry Angela he shows up to make a scene.
Yeah it went on too long. It basically ended the day Jim and Pam got married. But whatever. It's kinda the same with How I Met Your Mother. It was great for 5 season or so and then went down hill
I stopped watching the season after jim and pams wedding. We moved and lost all of our recordings of the office on dvr, then we forgot to set it to record again, after i was behind 6-7 episodes, I gave up.....wish I saw Steves last season. But from what I hear, it wasnt much. Damn we're the first few seasons gold though or what??!?!
Yeah they were great. TBS runs them now and I bet a local network does too if you want to see them. I don't think I have missed a single one. It's funny seeing the first season or two when Steve Carrell is pudgy and balding and Pam looks like a girl you might not give a second glance to
Carrell's last season was very up and down. Had some really good episodes mixed in with some really bad ones. His farewell episode was done very good and really the show would have ended there. Bringing in Will Ferrall did nothing and hiring James Spader was just an awful choice as he brought nothing to the show and was very boring.
After watching the new seasons, and when I go back to the Carell seasons, it makes me miss him so much more
I will watch anything Ferrel is in and enjoy, but I had to force myself to laugh when he was on. Robert California got old in 5 minutes. The Sabre days were very hit or miss. Thing is though, despite the bad episodes, the amount of great episodes is impressive.
It still better then half the stuff out there anyway. Robert California was bad. I liked Charles Miner. It had a lot of good moments! I also hated how they made andy turn out.
It still definitely has its moments but without Michael Scott it's never seemed quite right. I agree they should have wrapped it up and ended it when Steve Carrell wasn't coming back.
Watched every single episode with Carrel. Tried watching the season without him...but it was soooo blah. Couldn't do it. It was what, 2 seasons without him? Nonetheless, great show.
I've watched the entire time and still enjoy it. Not looking forward to the finale, but hope it's a good one.
wow that was a perfect end to the show. It really was. I am going to miss it. I loved that Michael Scott came back, i wish he was in it more, but he had to come back. His That what she said was perfect!
Also, I thought it was very fitting that Dwight got to do what he said he would do if he was ever promoted... Fire jim! Also loved the quote by Andy, "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them"
Yeah last night's episode was a perfect send off for the show. I'm actually glad Michael wasn't in it more as his farewell episode was perfect. And I'm glad Michael was very limited in what he said, the "that what she said" joke was awesome and his comments about "his kids growing up" was great too. And yes Andy's quote was fanfreakingtastic. As much as The Office was a let down the last 2 years they made up for it with this episode.
I do wonder how they would have ended the show had Dwights spin off actually happened. Obviously he would have not ended up with Angela, and it would not end with his wedding. I do like this ending and believe its better there was no spin off
The last episode wouldn't have been nearly as good obviously. If I were to guess I bet we'd still see the Q&A story line only with Dwight returning for that along with the other characters that left and either see Jim as full time manager or have Andy would have never quit the company in the first place and Jim & Pam deciding to leave. But seriously thank the gods at NBC for realizing "The Farm" would have been an awful spin off and would tank asap and canning it before it started. As it was the episode where Dwight goes to "the farm" was bad enough. It did, however, seem like once word came down "The Farm" wasn't being picked up a lot of subplots/storylines got dropped pretty quickly and others started up really quickly. I kind of wish Andy quit the company when he went away on the boat and we had a few more episodes of Dwight as manager and Jim as his sidekick.
Yeah that show would have been bad. I would not have watched it and it would suck that it would have compromised the end and wouldn't have been the end it deserved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got caught up on this year's episodes and the series finale this week. Really missed Michael Scott, he was bloody brilliant on that show. Everybody else was just secondary, but they did have their moments and that's why I kept watching. Bubble wrapping Stan and sliding him down the stairs was exceptional. Dwight and Angela talking about gay sex was quite good. Does the ***** just open up and accept the other *****? Creed.... Meredith... Kevin... and I liked Robert California...
That scene really was the first time I lost it watching the office in a while. Tell you what, I really liked Clark's character. Thought he was good for this season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
