he did a good job actually. That ball hit every part of the rim.

That game was lost on the possession before that one anyway. :shifty:

He trailed him. Riley talked about the strategy of trying to deny the pass to him by over playing him at the time.

I might have to root hard for cleveland tonight. ESPN is out of control.

I hope Lebron scores 90 tonight and then refuses to do an espn interview.

The hate Bron Bron is getting now is a little out of hand.

The sooner they get eliminated the sooner I get to be rid of all these Cavs fans that have came out of the woodworks since LBJ has come into the league....

Ive always liked Lebron but I have always despised the Cavs....

Lebron goes for 36-12-9 and the Cavs lose by dd would be ideal:up:

You must allow some leeway in my ignorance, I never even played a full (5 on 5) game of basketball until I was a senior in HS. I'm still learning many things about the game.

In our defense - he literally just didn't try the other night. If you watched game 5 it was embarrassing - and felt like 4-on-5 for a good portion of the game.

This city is sports crazy and completely beaten down. It is one thing to have a bad game - but to not try, at home, is just something the fans refuse to stand for.

And I'd bet most Cavs fans would agree with you guys on the LeBron homers. If he leaves, I'll still be a Cavs fan. Of course, I'm not going to HOPE he leaves - because the entire Indians team left and, while it got rid of the bandwagon fans, it doesn't make it fun to be one of 6 people in the stands.

I wasn't a Cavs fan until I went to school in Akron (start coincidentally in 2003), but even if LeBron leaves I'll still be rooting for the Cavs.

Full disclosure - I wasn't a Cavs fan until I moved here a few years ago, either. But I'm definitely a fan of the team and not of one player.

This town is a bit fairweathered for teams other than the Browns. The Tribe can't draw anyone and the Cavs wouldn't without Bron - even though the Browns have put an inferior product out there for 10 years.

Ive said this before and I'll say it again.....I know New Yorkers think this is a baseball town but when the Knicks are good they ALWAYS get the front page over the NYY, NYM, NYR, NYI, NYJ, NYG, and anything else that happens. They were the lead story every day in the late 90's. I wouldn't be surprised if the area around MSG is crazy packed with Knick fans on 7/1/10. Its been beaten to death for 2 years on sports radio and the last few days have been even nuttier then usual. Cant wait to see the craziness. I know people pre-ordering Lebron jerseys already.

I think that is where we are heading with a Wade/Gay/Bosh vs. Lebron/Danilooooooooooooooooo/Boozer knock down draggout for the next few years.

Thank god that our guy is the killer in this equation (Wade...destroyer of worlds, overlord of the round ball, The Mint, The Red Mamba)

Thought I was the only one who felt that way about Mash & Spoon. I'd take a lawsuit to deck either guy in the face if I ever meet 'em.

I'm good with your list, but remove Spike Lee & Patrick Ewing for me. Chris Childs too for that right hand he threw down on Kobe alone (I love Kobe, but he deserved it)!

I hate JVG the commentator more than JVG the coach. The most annoying EVER.

Charles Smith, with the ball, underneath the rim, 10 seconds to go...head fake..packed...head fake..packed...that was one of the most pathetic displays of Basketball pussatude I've ever seen..the Knicks had the Bulls..and Smith just..GAK!

    That really really sucked.

Anywho, onto Bron...Danny Ferry should be dragged by his heels through the streets of Cleveland, for Pete's Sake...Mo Williams? Antawn Jamison?

Shaq looks more like a Shack at 40yrs old.

Dude squandered Lebron in Cleveland, like Riley has squandered DWade in Miami.

I dont think the Knicks will sign Boozer. Hes too injury prone and they need a shot blocker not their next David Lee who actually fits in the D'Antoni offense unlike Boozer. They will get Amare or Bosh or make an acquisition via trade.

Shaq needs to be benched. He clogs the lane for Lebron on offense and Lebron cant drive that way. On defense Shaq cant play the pick and roll. He never could, even in his prime but it was really pronounced the other night.

I hate you for that Charles Smith reference by the way :tantrum::wink2:

Just to add some fuel to the fire from rotoworld:
Sonny Vaccaro, once the most powerful man in amateur basketball and a friend of LeBron James', says LeBron will not play for the Cavs next year.
"If he chooses to leave, and I believe he will, he has the pick of the litter of where he can go," said Vaccaro. "In my opinion, the Bulls are the perfect fit." He also mentioned the Clippers as a place he could wind up. Prepare yourself for constant LeBron updates every day between now and the end of July.

Soon after launching WewantWade.com, a fan-friendly website and marketing campaign designed to flatter Dwyane Wade and help convince him to re-sign with the Heat, the site crashed because of excessive traffic.
"I thought it was hilarious," Wade said. "But I appreciate it. I do. I really do." All indications are that Wade will play for the Heat next season, with or without the website.

Joel Anthony is expected to decline the player option for the final year of his contract, worth $885k, in order to become a free agent.
Anthony blocked 3.96 shots per 48 minutes this season, good for seventh-best in the league. An affordable big man who can provide a defensive presence won't be overlooked in this summer's center-thin pool of FAs.
    Source: Hoopsworld.com

Tony Parker said on Wednesday that he wants to stay with the Spurs, as rumors swirl that he is hoping for a trade to the Knicks.
"Again, I want to make it clear: I want to stay in San Antonio," said Parker. "My heart is in San Antonio. But it doesn't seem to matter what I say. The rumors get worse and worse, and as I go through my free-agent year, I know there will be even more." Parker's contract will expire after next season, and he's expected to seek a maximum extension. Which is why rumors keep popping up that the Spurs might try to trade him before it happens.

Honestly? D'Antoni may as well be the towel man, meaning I seriously doubt they make moves based on his offense "if" the move is possible, HC's in the NBA outside of handful are as disposible as condoms..

Maybe, Shack should be in the rotation to spell Bron and to draw fouls on Garnet if he can..imho.

    That sucked sooooo badly...dude...just dude...:tantrum::tantrum:

At least they exiled him to NBA Siberia with the Clippers.

Imho..NY...to me it has LeBron written all over it, one of the cradles of modern NBA history...dying for a Star, players want to play on the largest stages and it doesn't get larger than NYC.

They have rebuilt the team in 2 seasons Padre WHILE making the PLAYOFFS.....we could only have been so lucky here with our Dolphins.

In year three they are building a championship contender.

it has taken the Knicks 8 seasons...YES...EIGHT to setup their team to do what the heat is going to do..and the heat already has a Superstar to ADD TO.

Riley has hardly squandered Wade..unless you think Mitch Cupchack squandered Kobe Bryant when it took them almost 4 seasons to setup their team...and even then..they needed a giveaway deal to land Pau Gasol to do it.

NBA playoffs are far more easily attainable than the NFL playoffs.

"Sorry about those 3 squandered seasons DWade"?

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut5A_r5iiOg"]YouTube- Loser, Beck - Southpark[/ame]

Isiah Thomas royally ****ed up the Knicks, seriously, however that is not the point, that would be "Wade has been squandered by Riley"...and he has been.

We've had this discussion before Sect.

Odd, Bryant won a title last season, Wade won one...hmm...4 yrs ago...

I'd thought Riley would have been able to engineer a "giveaway" trade..guess not..sorry DWade.

Normally with regards to a coach I would agree but because D'Antoni's offense to be run well needs high percentage shooters who can play from more then 10 feet out Boozer is not a fit imo. Boozer is a back to the basket player. If you put Bosh or Amare next to him it works because then he can be a post up guy. But the NYK dont have the cap room for that + a max guy so I doubt it goes down that way.

Well to be fair if you guys had Isiah Thomas running the show for a while I wouldnt count that against you. But its been incompetance that has messed up the knicks dating back to the Ewing deal which they insisted on making for Shandon Anderson and other assorted crap.

I dont think the Heat have not so much squandered Wade so much as Riley understands this is a talent based league. They got a title with him after all. More then any of the four major sports talent wins in the NBA. Riley knew that you sometimes have to get worse to get better in the NBA because high draft picks usually work out in the NBA more so then in the NFL or MLB. Thats why I find it troubling certain teams are bottom feeders every year. Its got to be the way those teams are run more then anything else.
