Uh, no. Things are looking good. Morrison is playing well. Ozuna is playing well. Fernandez is playing well. Dietrich is playing well. Turner is playing well. We still have Stanton, who will eventually turn it around.
Oh and we have a top 5 farm system in baseball. I suggest you stop posting in this thread if this is the type of attitude you're going to bring.
Simmer down, bud.
Baseball America released it's Mid Season top 50 prospects today. Obviously Fernandez and Ozuna weren't on it, but we did have two other prospects in Yelich and Heaney. Surprised Marisnick and Nicolino didn't top the list with the way they've played. Especially Marisnick.
Nicolino hasn't been all that good. Marisnick should have made it though.

Yelich is going to be a stud. (Obvious post)

How hasn't he been all that good? Because of his declining K rate?

You think so? I think he's a good prospect but I never think stud when I think of Yelich.

Yes I think he's going to be very good. Not Trout/Harper good (who is though?) but in that next tier of prospects. He was in a lot of people's top 15 prospects in baseball at the start of the year, he was in Keith Law's top 6th. I think he's the Marlins franchise player with Fernandez.

Yeah this is all smoke and mirrors. His GB% is dropping hard, his K rate is awful, his line drive percentage is skyrocketing. He can't keep that up. And even if he does somehow, there's no way it would translate at the MLB level.

I think he has a chance to be really good, yeah.

Where did you find his GB% numbers and LD% numbers?
What's weird about Nicolino is he was a great strikeout pitcher the past two years.

The irony is strong with this one.
I'm no longer satisfied with "wait 'till next year, our farm system is awesome." I'm not going to avoid posting that opinion just because you don't like it.

If he can get back to where he was, that would be great. But he definitely doesn't deserve to be a top-50 prospect.

I think you should.

You may use your ignore list at your discretion.

Our farm system is really strong AND everyone should be fed up with accepting that while sucking. Maybe we have it right this time though. It will depend if our FO made all those moves to be smart or to save cash.
On the draft Quentin Rollins bandwagon.

Dude, as long as we have the world's cheapest millionaire as an owner, it's going to be that way. At the moment, we're like a meteor. Every now and again, we'll make an impact, but only rarely.

We made those impacts when Dave Dombrowski was the GM (the guy who left for the Tigers and then raped us of Miguel Cabrera). Now we just have the cheap owner.

I know, but with a new stadium they get one chance to show the fanbase that now they are dedicated to spend money but want to do it correctly.
I have no faith in it happening. I have no faith that this ownership can do anything but dump on us but....what choice do we have other than to hope for the best?
On the draft Quentin Rollins bandwagon.
I wonder if we see Yelich called up for Ozuna at some point.

He should probably stay in the minors a bit longer to learn how to hit LHPers, otherwise I fear he'll end up being a platoon player.

I doubt we'll see serious improvement in a short amount of time. Besides, he's a career a .270/.344/.414 against LHP. The average and OBP are fine, it's the power that's lagging behind a bit, which will improve naturally as he fills out and add weight.
Dude is OPSing .881 as a 21 year old in AA. We're way past super-2 status. It's time.
Yelich was pulled out of the game after his single. I think he's going to be promoted

Marisnick was too.
Roger Hoover @Roger_Hoover 1m
Yelich and Marisnick taken out of tonight's game in Tennessee due to wet field conditions at Smokies Park. #marlins

We should wear these all the time.
