    2 + 2.

Heat is actively running around with $6 million bucks, operating like a capped team.

Now I am told that Rich Paul is vehemently denying that he or anybody in his camp is leaking anything. The "noise" seems to be emanating from Cleveland.

Could they be as cynical as to create an aura of Lebron leading them on to use that as a scape goat for their short comings this offseason?

LOL no chance anyone wants LeBron to go to Cleveland other than Cavs fans. Its not even a believable story to make up.

His wife friggen loves Miami and so do his kids. They may have family and friends there but that isn't enough pull.

He moves well..and is a very good Def. Rebounder. He would fit with our system. Offensively, he operates much like Birdman, but with a 3 pt. shot as well.

IMO Kyrie is their only good player. Wiggens (again IMO) will be a huge bust at worst, or at best is 3-4 years from becoming an elite player. Nothing there is attractive.

McRoberts would seem like a nice fit. A guy that can crash the boards, but can also stretch the floor a bit offensively and hit those kick outs from LeBron and Wade.

Exactly. I would think if Riley though James was leaving, we would see a completely different approach as we would have excellent cap space.

Yeah I think he caught their attention when he shot damn near 50% from behind the arc in their playoff series.

But is he really Birdman plus a 3 point shot, or is he Rashard Lewis minus the resume?

Didn't they already have a talk? Hasn't the timeline been something like this?

    LeBron and Riley talk
LeBron and the Big 3 talk
LeBron and the Big 3 opt out (also Haslem)
LeBron and the Big 3 go on vacation
    LeBron and Riley talk again

Cavs could turn Wiggins into Kevin Love pretty quickly. Then you're looking at Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and LeBron - plus they'd still have some young guys and a lot of draft picks.

I think Lebron is staying - but it's really weird that he's not out actively recruiting guys. They need it more now than they did in 2010 when he was meeting dudes at the airport to get them to sign.

Yeah and LBJ, Kyrie and Love all at the max basically caps you out and turns you into the Heat with two guys who have never even made the playoffs and a rookie NBA head coach

True - though Irving and Love are in their early 20s, so you're not looking at a situation like Wade where he's declining. They'll be hitting their primes when LeBron is starting to go on the downside of his.

And they'd probably still have a few of Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson, Anderson Varejao, Anthony Bennett, Tyler Zeller on the roster. Plus their pick, the Heat pick, and a nice Memphis pick next year or the year after. And that crazy Brendan Haywood trade chip that more or less gives them a $10million trade exception next offseason. Also - Gilbert is a tool but he's not scared to spend.

I don't think LeBron is coming back - but the pitch is surrounding him with young talent so he's not in this same situation in 3-4 years.

To your point - think the rookie head coach / GM and meddling owner are bigger factors than the roster.

more Birdman. He is VERY athletic.

You can slide a credit card..barely..under Rashard when he jumps.

So if true about Houston offering Bosh 4/96 (max), I would almost say he should take that....Everyone is focused on Bron, but losing Bosh would suck IMO alot as well.....he has the rings, at this point wouldn't it make more sense to get paid?

Also if Bosh left does that make Melo to Miami more realistic? Provided Bron stays in Mia....

Are Bosh and LeBron floating all this crap about taking max deals and having other options to force Wade into an even smaller deal? If he signs for like $8mil instead of $10-12 it helps them tremendously, right?

    Broussard is full of crap.

The numbers are completely wrong. I think $88 million is the max an outside team can offer him absent a S&T.

Broussard is definitely wrong about those numbers.

I'm still trying to figure it out but according to Larry Coon, Melo's max with a new team is only $95.9.

Bosh's has to be less than that as I believe he only made a shade over $18 million this year.

Bosh is a better fit than Melo. a Much better fit. Melo makes them a prolific scoring team. But they already were that.

Agreed, but if that's what it takes to keep Bron, then I guess you do it.

I'd hate to shiv Bosh like that, but he'd be landing on his feet so in theory LJ could live with it.

Now Woj reporting that Bosh talked directly with Houston this morning and that he will consider offer if things don't work out here.

Morey sent a telegram to Zambia where it was transported by a courier riding a bicycle.

Morey was finally able to reach Bosh by satellite phone as he pushed further into the jungle in search of his lost professor, Livingston.

Bosh was only able to secure an abacus to perform the salary cap math while dodging the vicious natives and all manner of dangerous flora and fauna

While Bosh was pushing forward into the deep cavern, with the golden idol in his sights, the Satellite phone kept ringing.

Bosh ignored it. It was that pain Morey again. He probably just wanted to talk about video games and being on Bill Simmons' podcast. Bosh carefully began measuring the surrounding sand, knowing that any change in the weight of the idol's perch could lead to disastrous consequences....

Next time on the Miami Bosh and the Lost Ark...Morey continues his pursuit, while Riley remains at the museum, undeterred in his mission
