True, but to guys like you and Tree etc......you recognize it's playful banter...I don't really do my best to cater to other "Heat fan" who won't be in this thread in a month.

I have no doubts we as Dolphins fans would do the same to Pats fans when/if we can out of frustration of rooting for a bad team (Phins, Knicks) those of us that will still be here will be laughing about it for the next few years.

I can tell you from a marketing sense that Letter was GENIUS. Sold a ton of tickets the next day. The Indians have a stable yet mediocre franchise and they can't draw ANYONE. When they trade players because those guys don't want to play here? Blame goes to the owner. What Gilbert did was make LeBron the enemy and himself the hero.

From a PURELY marketing standpoint, it worked beautifully. And Gilbert is a businessman first.

From a "decent human being" standpoint? He was a complete jerk.

Lebron I can deal with fairly easily. Bosh I can probably deal with over time.

    Wade?

    I can't even fathom.

I think Wade is looking for money though.

He's won 3 titles. Including one without LeBron. Whether he wins another one or not doesn't really change his legacy much

I have zero bitterness toward LeBron but I'm not going to cheer for the Cavs to win games. I'd like to see LeBron do well, but that doesn't translate to Cavs success for me.

Yeah I would probably be more favorable toward the Houston Rockets with Bosh on the team. It would be interesting and fun to see them win.

It would be awful for Wade to leave - but Cavs have any pick outside of top 10. Might make sense for Heat to tank - get a top 5 pick or two and have them on small contracts when the summer of '16 hits. Kinda of what Cleveland just did.

What happened to the report that Wade is signing with the Heat? One little tidbit about Chicago merely "reaching out" to him and suddenly that report is moot?

My take (late I know, but I was in a movie): It sucks, and I don't think it's the best move for him, but I don't fault him for doing it. The world will once again love him and if they can swing a trade for Love, they will have a team just about as good as the Heat, although it will probably take some time for them to fit together. It was great while it lasted, and I'm excited to see what Riley can do with the board wiped clean. I kind of wish he didn't blindside the Heat, but having the best player in the world for even 4 years was great.

Guys lets be classy and not get into it with Fin-O, like Boik said. I can be arrogant and even sometimes rude, but you'll never find a time I don't come back and apologize like an adult for it. It's also generally in the heat (no pun intended) of something. If people want to poke us with sticks and rant well....Four finals and two titles. We don't need to speak back, it speaks for itself.

All Dolphin fans here so no reason for any of us to act like kids or wish eachother to be put down. Fin-O isnt a bad guy, he's a Knicks fan who is happy a team he hates is down for the moment. I can live with that, won't make me treat him any different.

Lol...with Bosh they'd probably have the BEST offense in the League, along with a hell of a defensive front line of him and Dwight. That team would be crazy good. The only thing that I imagine would keep Bosh out of Houston is how loaded the West is. But I mean, he already has two rings, not sure if his chances at chips is a huge factor.

As far as Wade leaving that would actually be a shocker, especially the Bulls!??! Gosh darn it, no way, not the Bulls or Knicks! anything but that!

    Pacers, I'd be OK with.

Does anyone have any idea where they go from here? My thought was always Stephenson and Isaiah Thomas if they lost James and Bosh, but they may not be able to play the waiting game with 2016 if so.

Also, anyone have any idea if a sign and trade is possible? It would suck to be a team that is not very good only to have to give away your 1st round pick to the team that just took your best player?

If this were just LeBron leaving it would be bad enough. but we are in full DEFCON-5, Code Red, or whatever other doomsday nomenclature you can come up with.

If Wade leaves, I just can't even imagine it. I could actually be happy watching Wade leading a team of young guys for a few years, taking their lumps but competing, and learning what it means to be a Heat, a member of this family.

But Wade bouncing when the bleep hits the fan? I just can't take it

I'll be more sad if Bosh leaves than Lebron. Favorite player on the team, just a classy individual on and off the court. I won't be a bandwagon Rocket fan...but if he goes there and we cant win it all...I hope they do for his sake. I'd love them to beat a Lebron led Cavs team in the finals.

The pick is top 10 protected so if we go full tank, there's no way they get it.

It's also top 10 protected in 2016. Only becomes unprotected in 2017, and hopefully by then it won't matter

time for Mitch to turn on the heat, call Chicago for a sing n trade, Boozer and McDermitt, a pick for Pau, paving the way for Melo. Whoever blink first, Chi or NY, you do the deal.

so my lakers are helping all the teams to get their guys....lin trade so the rockets can sign bosh and now pau to the knicks to make anthony happy, i take 2 first round picks out of the 2 deals we made, expiring contracts als o help, but man we go nowhere this upcoming season

Aren't Chicago, Cleveland and Indiana all in the same division?

Heat may get Terrence Jones from Rockets if Bosh comes according to sources. He's a good offensive player. His defense is horrible though.

I think DEFCON-1 is the highest of all the DEFCONs. It means the nukes are incoming. DEFCON-5 is like taking a nap after lunch.
