Well Carlos at least walked a good amount. If Carlos would of been able to hit .230 he would of been a pretty good player. He just couldn't consistently hit his body weight.

For the record too Fink, I never said I dont think he should be in, I said I dont think he has the numbers and I am judging that solely on the crackpots in the BBWA.....whom again seem to believe the W, HR, RBIS and SB's get you in......

By the time Roy Halladay became ROY HALLADAY Pedro was starting his decline.

I wasn't saying anyone here was saying he shouldn't be in the HOF, I was just making a general statement.

John Smoltz had some overlap too I guess. I think Smoltz will be in though before Halladay hits the ballot. And Smoltz did his best starting work in the 90s and his best closer work in the early 00s.

Don't get that deal for the d'backs... But maybe its because I think trumbo is a one trick pony.

Not just you, everyone else does too but Kevin Towers apparently. I know Arizona kind of soured on Skaggs due to injuries a bit but I think the Angels and White Sox made out well in this trade.

I also liked the Rockies getting Brett Anderson, I'm a big fan of his, just a shame he can never stay healthy.

Just wondering out loud that if the Angels could get that type of package of Trumbo, what the Sox could potentially get back for Will Middlebrooks who is a similar player but is younger and better defensively. If the Sox end up resending Stephen Drew and with Garrin Cecchini a year or 2 away I bet you see Middlebrooks on the block for sure with Bogaerts playing 3B next year.

    You can't fault him though....

So I guess we can assume that whatever teams trades for him he is going to sign an extension with?

Well he still has 2 years left under team control, so I wouldn't say it is a must. But I highly doubt a team is going to give up prospects like Walker+ without a long term deal.

But who knows. I've seen dumber. I would of been on the line with Arizona as soon as I heard the trade they made lol.

So the Rays lost out on two potential 1B options today. I'm surprised Morrison's trade value was that low. Like both moves by Seattle there.

Morton and I played on the same travel baseball team for a few years, he was a good guy and now he's a good rich guy. Very happy for him.

His stats are definitely underwhelming but I do think a change of scenery would help as it was clear he had some issues in Florida with the FO and possibly the coaching staff (if I rememeber correctly, of course a Marlin fan would be better to ask) over Twitter of all things. He has shown patience at the plate, he just needs to figure out how to stay healthy. I don't think he'll ever be a superstar but he's a good low risk pick up.

Of course this could just be the first step in a Morrison/Walker/Prospect package for David Price too as having Morrison in the OF isn't ideal.

Yeah, when we were 13 to 15 or so. He was a really good/nice kid. We played in a few national tournaments in Florida. One of my friends that was on that team too swears we played against that David Wright/Ryan Zimmerman/BJ Upton/Mark Reynolds legendary team down there but I honestly don't remember if they were on that Virginia team or not and neither of us can find any old programs with the team rosters on them.

Eh, I recently unfollowed him. His gimmick got old and his tweets just got boring. He was never the same once the whole incident with the FO and him over Twitter he kind of lost his "edge".

Well hopefully with all the crap going on in the Seattle FO they won't be able to keep an eye on him and maybe then his Twitter will get more interesting again.

Eh he was borderline saying alot of things you probably shouldn't to people.....I mean me to you is fine, a ballplayer to some random on Twitter I could see how that is viewed as a problem by any front office....

lol at Scott Boras pimping Montreal as a possible relocation site for the Rays to move too...

Yeah I mean I understand that there are a lot of jerks and internet tough guys out there but if you're a pro athlete or celebrity you need to be smart and just let it go. No use in starting things up especially since there's no way it could end well for them.

It's a no win situation for them.

He's going to rake this year if he continues what he's doing currently. Take it as some inside info.

    I'm pissed.
