Yeah he and his team are definitely good with drafting and have gotten better in terms of international FAs. No GM is perfect though and hits on every move/player.
Hey just think the next time your GM is an idiot, it could be worse. Seriously don't understand what the heck the Phillies are doing or thinking this offseason. I get that its a low risk move but still kind of strange.
I could of lived with Forsythe in a trade. And I try and rarely question the front office, but this trade stinks. How much better is Forsythe going to be then Sean Rodriguez? Is it worth Torres? Hell. To. The. No. Not only that, they gave Jesse Hahn in the deal, and got back some long shot prospects. Hahn is coming back from TJ surgery, but has top flight stuff. This trades reeks to me.
He is your utility guy to replace Zobrist when his contract is over. If you guys start out very slow or have injuries look for Zobrist to be traded as well as Price.
I thought I remembered this and I looked it up and viola it was Torres!!! I went to this game.....wont ever get to see this beauty again....
Screws in elbows? IDK Fink I might have walked.....4 years is too much IMO....the money is right though...maybe there is something in the contract that says they can get out of it?
Doesn't appear to have an out clause. The Brewers' farm system is pretty bad, if it's not the worst farm system it's a close 2nd or 3rd, so I get them trying.
Naps, you ever catch ST action down there? Are you there right now? Watching the Bucos would be pretty cool.... Dude honestly make your resume out and hand it to anybody who looks affiliated with the team...
Interesting read.....involving the padded caps.... http://espn.go.com/mlb/blog/_/name/...pitchers-reservations-mlb-new-protective-caps
Yea absolutely. I try and go to 5-10 spring training games at year. The Orioles complex is in Sarasota, one town over. So I try and go to a bunch of games. Both stadiums just got redone, so both are nice ball parks. Where the Pirates play their ST, their high A affiliate plays their home games. So I try and make it to their games too. It's good times.
Dude believe it or not I have never made it down there for ST, it is on my bucket list though.... Actually this would be a PERFECT ST to go to for the Yanks.....hahaha
And afterwards Nappy will wake up in a strange hotel room in a bathtub filled with ice missing a kidney.... Just kidding FinYank, I'm sure you're not a psycho.
Kidneys on the black market go for thousandsssss!!! It would be fun Naps no doubt, ugh would come home broke.....and hungover....
Jeremy Hellickson out until mid to late May following elbow surgery. Although Hellickson didn't pitch well last year, this could be a big deal in the AL East race. Usually the teams they stay the healthiest are the ones that win. Now the Rays have to turn to Odorizzi or someone outside the organization. Wonder if they regret the Torres deal now. Stuff like this is probably a big reason why a team like the Red Sox haven't moved someone like Dempster yet. You can't never have too much starting pitching.
Don't understand what the Phillies are doing this off season. If you think the GM of your team is bad just think it could be worse, you could have RAJ.
