Best of luck tonight Miami fans!

The Spurs have been winning but not well. Too many turnovers and poor shooting at times has meant the Spurs have been lucky to benefit from equally poor shooting from opposing teams. So although the Spurs have had some solid performances from Aldridge and Murray and Green they've looked hapless and vulnerable at times.

Joffrey Lauvergne had been a fighter under the basket lately but he's out tonight making the Spurs a bit more vulnerable. Gasol is going to be the only real big man in this one unless Aldridge maintains some of that aggression from last game's battle with Ibaka.

I've heard the Heat have been improving and getting solid performances lately, despite Whiteside's absence. So from what I read this could easily be the first entry in the Spurs L column, tonight.

For the Spurs, lookout for good play from Murray at point, could be an interesting battle with Dragic, and then the Spurs will need another strong lead from Aldridge.

I've a feeling it's about time for a showing from Patty Mills, and if Danny Green continues as he has been playing look out for the Green-Aldridge kick outs.

I've a feeling this could be a good one!

    May the best team win!

Much more to do with a team that ESPN and the media LOVES that is arrogant and phony to me. Nothing to do with the Cavs being the best team in the East.

Nah, im sure it has nothing to do that your cavs got destroyed by them last year and lost 2 of the last 3 finals thereby further derailing the fake narrative that Lebron is anywhere near Mike or Kobes level. Lol lol lol lol.

Well the NBA made it clear they dont want star players taking days off over rest, and knowing thT if you think they would suspend Curry for throwing his mouthpiece it aint happening. Adam Silver wants the fans to get their moneys worth so all the superstars must be on the court unless legitly injured.

Curry could drop his pants down and moon the road crowd and he would play the next day.

I’m a little weird with vacations where my wife wants to continue going to Hawaii and I just want to hit states and towns most people wouldn’t consider a vacation. I’ve gotta go to Ohio and see what all the fuss is about.

Feel bad for the 76ers. They outplayed us, but Eric Gordon hit a 3 at the buzzer. Wow. He once again is carrying this team. Harden's turnovers and Dantoni being stubborn (only playing 7 players the entire game) really should have cost us.

    4-1

That was a gut punch. So many turnovers in the final few minutes. That was one the Sixers should have salted away.

The Rockets have played terribly in 3 of the 5 games. I heard a stat that they have bricked more threes than 28 nba teams have even attempted. I don't know if that is true or not, but I believe it. We can't shoot for s##t and the decisions have been poor, but somehow have been winning. It's nuts.

Justise Winslow is starting to smell like a bust.

I was told I was crazy and that he can cut really really well. He was the right pick at the time though. The only guys after him who turned out well are Myles Turner, Devin Booker, and Josh Richardson.

Oladipo looks like he's very interested in that MIP award. Scarily enough, Giannis is playing well enough to be in contention for it as well.

Surprisingly, the greatest worry for the Heat right now is defense. They've been pretty bad on that end of the floor this season. It's probably not a coincidence that this has been the case with Whiteside out, but aside from the Magic game, they've played 3 teams who were missing their best player, and 2 of those teams are pretty bad to start with. Their offense has done pretty well because they have so many players that can get hot, but they can be clunky at times because they don't seem to have a clear identity yet.

What's frustrating about Winslow is he does so much really well. Great defender, good ball handler, good passer, good at getting to the basket. His shot is just a mess, and what's even more frustrating, he can't finish at the basket. If he could even get that part of his game straight, he could be a pretty valuable player. He's not as explosive as we thought he'd be, which hurts that, but sometimes it's as easy as making an open layup.

Also, to your point about who was taken after him, you could say only 2 guys turned out well, but those two guys were probably who Miami was looking at if Winslow wasn't there, and both of them look like budding stars.

I also still don’t understand why they chose Kelly Olynyk over Rudy Gay.

I'll tell you, the job marks and Atkinson have done in two years is phenomenal. The Brooklyn nets have a really nice young core and it keeps improving. They aren't at the playoff level yet (maybe if they're lucky they can fight for an 8th seed) but they are on track if the improvement keeps going year to year. Lavert, jefferson and allen were all solid picks and the fa pickups bring a nice bench and the trades are all working out. They were fun to watch last year without the talent but this year the talent is improved and they're even more fun to watch. We should be back in the playoffs in a year or two

I believe that was because SAS offered him two years at a good salary. Miami wasn't going to do that with his injury history. But he reportedly wanted to be in Miami since the middle of last season.

Olynyk is still finding his place on this team IMO. He is so incredibly plodding out there. I mean, when Kyle freaking Anderson spins by you, that means you have some damn slow feet. He's been a liability on defense, and I think trying to do too much on offense, but he has shown an ability to shoot, which Miami needs. Once he settles into the role Miami needs him to play, I think he'll be fine.

That was much better, Rockets. Still without CP3, Ariza, & Nene. Playing Bobby Brown for 27 minutes was crucial. We needed that 8th man to step up. Embarrassing Dwight in the 4th quarter really made me happy.

    Eric Gordon - 25 ppg
    James Harden - 26 ppg; 10 apg
Maybe bring CP3 off the damn bench??

Hornacek got a vote of confidence from Steve Mills today. I give it til game 30 before the hot seat is really on fire and game 45 or so when Hornacek gets canned.
