Personally, I find McMahon to be a compete douchebag. He is definitely in the top 5 a-holes of alltime.

Yeah, and as long as it's been since the Nuggets have done this well, they shouldn't be getting any grief over that. They can go wrestle in the parking lot.

Vince McMahon is absolutely right in this case. The Nuggets and the owner screwed this up big time. No faith in their team and now they're going to pay for it.

It should be about who made the contract first.

And hell. In this case it's basketball. Even if the nuggets made the contract first I say let wrestling come in and take over anyway.

so the Nuggets owner is supposed to pass up a huge paycheck and reserve the arena for every day of the 2 month post season. There is no way of knowing what day the home games would have been if they got that far. IMO, the NBA should have taken this into account when scheduling the series. Why not just make the game on Tuesday, or earlier in the day?

McMahon could stand up for his side of the dispute without insulting the other guy and waving Lakers jerseys in his face. The guy is a complete douche.

Say what you want about Vince McMahon but he's a very smart and he knows whatever he says will be free press to the WWE and right now he's getting tons of it.

The problem is he's right and pretty much everyone in the media is siding with him here. He has a contract that has been in place since August and was signed back in April. For everyone saying that the WWE should just leave and let the Nuggets play instead are missing the point not only all the legal aspects of it but that it screws the WWE out of RAW, which is their flagship TV show and it runs live every Monday. With the NBA kicking them out it will cost the WWE tons of money in both gates (10k already bought tickets to that event), advertising, travel costs, TV and merchandise. Plus I'd be willing to bet that RAW probably would beat Game 4 in the ratings too.

Ultimately I bet the WWE gets a huge pay out from the NBA to give the Nuggets the arena and just does a live RAW from MSG and I'm sure the whole show will be centered around the NBA 'screwing' them.

It's not about a paycheck, and it's too bad that nobody expected the Nuggets to go this far when Vince reserved the Forum for his wrestling b.s. REGARDLESS, the Denver Nuggets have gone farther in the playoffs than ever before, That doesn't hold precendence over a hollywood bs scripted wrestling match? Let the guys play basketball! They've earned it, and so has the community that's supported them by coming to the games and buying the memorablia that's available. Whomever whens this series, Lakers or Nuggets, I'm just glad that an underdog like Denver got a shot. So ****, that fake wrestling crap. Let people work for what they've earned to do, which is play for the NBA West Finals................

They should have enough respect to let them have the place back. So if they reserved a match for an outdoor cagefight in Dolphins Stadium, during the playoffs, and the Phins got Playoff advantage to have a game, you wouldn't be pissed if we had to go somewhere's else?

no it doesn't, but a prior contract does.

they have earned the right to play... just not in that building. by a dumb **** business move by whomever owns the building.

I see your point man, I really do, I guess I'm just looking at it from the teams point of view. They've earned the right to be there, and I think the wrestling guys should let it happen, but I know there's a lot of $$$ involved in that. You're right though, a contract is a contract, no question about that. :knucks:

Man, its wrestling..they can have the event in the parking lot. No one really cares and plus its better when its outside the ring and cars and chairs are more in play.

    Lets go Nuggets!

well they have earned the right to be there. they made the playoffs and i'm guessing they have home court? if a stupid contract move wasn't in place .. that's the only thing :pity:

Again, I see your point buddy, but it's not the Nuggets fault, and I wish the wrestling folk would let Denver play in a situation that they've earned that gave them the leasing rights to have a house.. I know the owners had their contracts, but financially, each company can stand back and let good things happen. Let these guys do their thing, and play the Lakers in their home court with no problems, so they bring a Championship back home, which is what every team wants, not some bull**** fake *** scripted wrestling match.

If those kids in CO can watch the Nuggets win a Championship, that would be way better than a fake *** Wrestling tournament. It's better for the public, it's better for the kids, it's better for the community, let 'em play the basketball game, dammit!

wrestling being fake or whatever holds no water......it doesnt matter if it is a sex-toy conference......they have the rights to the arena for almost a year in advanced.....they signed the contract.....they have millions of dollars of their company invested in this happening monday....and like someone said....10 thousand people already bought tickets for the event.....how ****ty does it look for any buisiness to tell your fans who spent their hard earned money on their event in this economy "oh sorry guys....no more event....the owner of the arena reneged on our contract"

its utter bull**** and the owner of the nuggets is the biggest douche of all out of all of this.....

Wow you completely missed the point. Why should the WWE respect them to have the place back? None of your reasons hold any water and in fact they're pretty weak. The WWE has a contract to be there, they're doing nothing wrong here.

Regarding the Dolphin playoff question of course I'd be pissed and would complain about it but it doesn't take away the fact that the WWE has a contract and the right to be there.

Good post. Agree 100%. I wonder if Bruce Springsteen was having a concert there instead of the WWE that people would be telling them to go play in the parking lot.

That's what you would think. The Arena is already booked up for Monday night. Play the Basketball game on Tuesday. Some people think McMahon is being a jerk for not moving his date. I don't get that. If any of us were to try to reserve a place and the place were already booked we would look elsewhere or select a different time/day.

    True :knucks:

Why not this...let the guys wrestle! They've earned it, and so has the community that's supported them by coming to the event and buying the memorablia that's available.

So true. It seems like everyone is focused on McMahon and his money. Money is the reason the NBA wants to keep it's scheduled game on Monday. They will get a bigger TV share if the Lakers don't have to compete with Lebron on Tuesday.

Better yet. If John Elway was having a flag football game for fun, the entire city would boycott the NBA and make them move the basketball game.

Thats exactly what he should do. Because not only would he lose the money the WWE would make him for selling out the arena, but now he hurt himself big time with a relationship with WWE, as WWE may not want to do buisness with him agian. Say what you want about Wrestling, but they are a money maker. They have the right to hold their event since they had the contract signed for a while. It sold out and now, the fans who bought their tickets may not see the event. Have faith in your team.
