I play high school football for Brighton High, and I started all nine games for my team at WR/CB/KR/PR. Our team was 8-1 and we beat Rockford (one of the best high school football programs in Michigan) Here were my stats for this year (We only had nine games) Offensive 4 receptions (6 passes were called back due to pentalites) 1 TD 14.7 AVG Defensive 29 Tackles 3 INTS (Led Team) 3 Fumbles Recoverd (Led Team) 2 Forced fumbles Returning PR 16.3 yards per punt KR 26.9 yards per kick
Thanks man. This year we have workouts (lifting weights/learning a new offense) at 6 o'clock in the morning, every Monday,Tuesday, and Thursday. For me this really stinks because I have baseball in the afternoons and sometimes games are on the same day as football so balcing football and baseball are very diificult sometimes. However, football and basketaball are almost impossible to balance for me.
New Rochelle. State champions in 2004, the year I graduated. We had QB Geoff McDermott. Now starting power forward on the Providence College basketball team. We had RB/CB Ray Rice. Star running back at Rutgers, now a second round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens. We had RB/S Courtney Greene. Now starting safety at Rutgers. First team All Big East. We had WR Glen Lee. Also a starting safety opposite Greene on Rutgers. The offense was unstoppable.
due to a freak accident around 1900, a player's arm was stepped on and he bled to death, we have no football at the High School level. ironically, every September we celebrate the first ever "under the lights" night football game. 1892. it was a college game and, sadly, the college just dropped their football program after almost a century of really bad football.
umm being that i'm 31, and this is a high school football thread, im not really sure what to do... i played, it was more work than fun. Dolphan1, thats some crazy history... and congrats on a nice year straz. not really sure what else to contribute...unless you wanna get into cheerleaders, and the back seat of my moms 84 monte carlo.
