Gotta be Fields or Jones here for Da Bears... I'd go Fields.

You could say the same for WR too, not that Smith is an option any longer.

I don't disagree in general, but my thought process is that it's a second first round pick, it's OK to reach a bit and just solve the position by taking a Harris. I'm 100% done screwing around with Jordan Howard types.

C at 50? Who? I think the top 3-4 are off the board.

Bears trading up for a QB, fields or jones?

12 was the move in hindsight, you couldn't predict the Falcons and the Bengals being terrible still. Pitts doesn't net Atlanta anymore wins and it looks like Cinci wants to turn Burrow into the next Luck. Unlucky really.

My dad is a Bears fan and is stuck at work. I fear for his workplace depending on who this pick is.

I wonder if this becomes a trend, how Bears ownership are letting their GM/Coach try a second QB. Usually you don't get that chance.

Bengals let Burrow make that pick. They really needed Sewell or Slater.

I hope the Bears moving up for what we assume to be a QB here triggers another team to move up ahead of the Pats for the remaining QB

Fields ... good choice imo, I think they got an absolute steal, though I'm not sure I have much confidence in that staff to do much. Having Allen Robinson will help though.

They can have Mac Jones, he is the most likely to be average out of this QB class. Good to see the Bears get Justin Fields, his upside is fairly high.

There goes Fields. Now; lets have someone take Jones before NE gets the chance.

Robinson will be confused by having a decent QB for once in his life.

Parsons gone. I was intrigued to see where he was going to end up with his off the field stuff that came out.

I consider it a fluke, not the start of a trend; but imagine being a Bears fan today? Rodgers wants out, and you get a QB steal in the draft.

I’m fine with the Patriots getting Mac Jones. Lol

    Glad they didn’t get Fields.

More worried they might draft Paye away from us!

Twitter likely. There's nothing worse than people tipping picks on draft day IMO.

I'm thinking/hoping that the top 3rd or 4th one is still there. It's a risk, but if they are gone, I'd go DE/LB. We may get another Center later in free agency, as teams cut players closer to the season.

If Fields works out, Detroit will never live it down lol. I was kind of surprised they didn't pull the trigger really, but I think they are targetting next year. That's a multi-year rebuild there.

Just watching the draft coverage over here in the UK. Didn't realise I was ahead of the networks. My bad, I'll hold off from now on. I purposely avoid Social Media on nights like this because I dislike the spoilers.

With how quick we have been to move on from players this year, I would say no position is out of the realms of possibility at 18. Looking at who's left though, I'm leaning towards tackle, especially as the plan seems to be to move Hunt inside, but I know a lot of people who were saying the pick was Waddle this morning was also saying Paye at 18.

I know this is one of those “what else are they going to say” deals, but I’m told (and truly believe) the Dolphins wanted Jyalen Waddle all along. Over DeVonta Smith. AND Ja'Marr Chase. Yes, they assumed Chase would be gone… but they wanted Waddle over him regardless. And so, Miami got its guy.
