I just mentioned this in another thread, but sliding protections around in a chess match with a hostile pass rush like that is not exactly a walk in the park - especially not for a guy who spends most of his time as the backup. He's not out there every week seeing different defensive looks.

That kind of thing comes with experience. Baltimore knew it and it played out to their advantage. Then you add in the poor efforting on the part of the rest of the offense and that loss is what you get.

That guy is just comedy to me. Moore was terrible, line was terrible, Jay train was terrible, Jarvis was terrible, special teams were terrible, etc. He likes to throw out random comments like that to seem more knowledgeable I guess, same with the "Gase doesn't call the plays" bit.

Oh well, maybe he's better in the club.

If you had any reading comprehension or took the time to read any of my posts over the last few weeks you'd notice that I have blamed the entire team. Some here, however, liked to blame Cutler and RT before him. They scream for Moore and when Moore comes in they blame the team. THAT'S what's comical. But you wouldn't know...with your lack of reading comprehension.

There's only two inevitable outcomes IF what he says is legitimate:

    1. They take it to heart and finally commit
    2. They get tired of hearing him air them out in the media like that and the train completely derails

It's just bizarre to me the transition from the Jets game to this one. Everything coming out of that Jets game led me to believe the team was finally believing in themselves. Hell you had Landry getting emotional about it in a post-game interview.

Fast forward to last night ....... new plays, total dysfunction, and ultimately a team that quit.

Gase has been shielding the team for awhile. They deserve the *** chewing.

If what he says is true then yes.

But how do we really know? How do we know it's not a case of over-complexity and not fitting scheme to your players? I mean it's concerning that a coach feels his only option is to trot his offense out there under a vanilla preseason-esque scheme complete with QB playcall wristbands and Landry running 9 routes. That was as extreme as it gets.

40-0 tells me the other team had our offense figured out pretty well. Besides, Gase has consistently taken the blame for losses and poor performances since he's been here. More than any coach I've ever seen, he has taken blame left and right.

He's supposed to. He's being paid to coach these players up. Some coaches identify themselves with their "scheme" and I'm getting the impression that is Gase. They're 7 weeks into the 2017 and at this point perhaps he should be more concerned with catering to what they do well - not oversimplifying it because he's pissed off at them for not mastering his offense in the last two years.

If he knew these players couldn't cut it then don't go out and sign that stuff Julius Thomas. Don't give Stills his money. Don't re-sign Bushrod. If he doesn't have the ear of the FO in regards to personnel then this situation is even worse than advertised.

He didn't;t oversimplify because he's mad at them. He's mad at them because even when he oversimplifies it they are still not doing what they are supposed to. And I don't think this was a problem last season so they wouldn't have affected the moves they made this offseason.

I dunno. Sounded like this is a continued indictment, much like his whole "this offense has sucked for 2 years" comment earlier in the season. I could be wrong though.

If guys aren’t getting Gase’s system after 2 years then maybe, just maybe it is the system is broken.

The over under before any of our players were hurt in preseason was 7.5 games. That means an objective analysis of the dolphins roster when fully healthy vs the teams we would play meant a .500 season would be a success. We are 4-3 somehow. That is the sign of good coaching considering the injuries we have had to deal with. How many teams starting a backup QB are doing better than us. Face it the injury gods screwed us. But the fact that we are 4-3 means we are playing with house money. We should be happy that we are overachieving
