I really am amazed that Blount is still around. I really, really want to package him with Marion in a trade for a defensive center and forward who can come off the bench.

Damnit! That's like the 10th time in Wade's career he came a board or assist shy of a triple double.

 

Did Zo get let go or did he retire?

 

Still under contract, but recovering from an injury from last year. Coming back in a couple of months. I would expect this to be his last season regardless.

The game against the Spurs was the first I got to see. Beasley is a beast. He's not that bad on defense. Some experts make him out to be quite useless in that area. Chalmers is a gem. The guy has good ball handling skills, can see the court well, awesome defender, great instincts, good at reading and reacting to the pass defensively and very very unselfish on offense. He distributes the ball extremely well.

Haslem is a baller. Great hustle. Wade is back in form. I don't know what's going on with Marion though. I don't see him making a lot of plays. He misses easy shots. Is it me or was it just a bad game?

Quinn is a nice spark off the bench. Blount is useless. Diawara and Banks aren't too bad.

 

Yeh, Blount taking three point shots makes me want to throw something at my TV.

This Dwyane Wade fella is a pretty decent player, eh? Me thinks he's a keeper.

 

Call me crazy but I think he can win a championship one day.

 

the beasley interview after the game was hilarious. jason jackson asked him something about wade, and mike was like "did you see him in the fourth? i just stood there amazed, i must've missed like two or three rebounds just standing there watching him."

i paraphrased it from memory, but that's more or less how he said it. jax didn't really know how to respond, it was kinda funny.

also, beasley said he told wade in practice, "you cant call yourself a true shooter if i make more three pointers than you." and "apparently he took that to heart".

 

I geel that way too.

 

No way we contend without a dominant paint player.

I would love for us to get our hands on Ekafor (or whatever) or Dalembert.

 

The defensive center we're looking for is still rehabbing a knee injury (Zo)

 

rather have dalembert. he would be perfect and it would be a home coming.

 

short term, yes, Long term no. Besides he may not come back at all.

 

I would not count on Zo for anything at this point. If he comes back, okay, that's 10 minutes a night. Doesn't fix our problems.

If we can ship Marion off for a guy like Okafor we're set.

 

Okafor is a guy who gets injured as well and I don't think he's moved during the season. In the off-season, yes. During the season? I don't see it but I could be wrong. Two guys I would keep an eye on are Sean Williams and Chris Kaman.

 

any possibility we could land Mehmet Okur?

 

I haven't watched Mehmet in a while. I don't know if he will be moved or not but I do have a question about him. Does he still lack defense and a post game, settling on too many threes?

 

well Ive always wanted a C with some offense, and hes got it. He can improve his defense on a defense-first Heat team. Hes known to occasionally showcase an all-around game. Haslem/Cook for Okur?

 

Yeah but I would think you guys would like a pure Center down there with some defense, no? Isn't there enough offense with Beasley and Wade? Also, he's a FA next year along with Boozer, Wilcox, Varajeo, Curry, and Rasheed. I still think that Kaman and Sean Williams are good possibilities.

 

IMO, no. Wade needs at least one more guy to make plays. Beasley is a rookie, and will have off nights like he did last night. An offensive, rebounding big man is what we desperately need.

 

I want Boozer! Those three would be great!

 

i would love seah williams, but i'm not sure why the nets dont play him. would make me think he isn't the long term answer either.

 

Interesting. Okur would provide the offense but not so much the rebounding. I'm not really sure there's a guy outside of Carlos Boozer who can bring an offensive game and be a rebounder. Possibly Rasheed Wallace? That's really the only guys that come to my head. Okafor is not that guy.
