But god damn, if he did, we could not be stopped. Even if everyone else on the team sucks. Wade and LBJ would just pass to each other the whole time exchanging buckets. No one else would have to do anything.

LeBron would never play with Wade, or any other superstar for that matter IMO. He wants to be the main guy, at least at this point in his career. I could see him going to New York or Chicago before Miami, for that simple fact alone.

That said, they would instantly become the best duo in the league.

 

While the Suns and Jazz have the pick and roll down - with Bron and Wade, the Heat would have the "dribble for 20 seconds and then jack up a long-range jumper" play worked to PERFECTION.

I cannot possibly see LeBron James staying. I still see NYK more likely, but at this point I would not be shocked if he ended up here. Pat Riley has mind control over everything that happens in this league; he's ****ing Illuminati status. Yes, Kobe, he made Pau Gasol for peanuts happen for you.

 

Also, I didn't know that John Salmons can (and likely will) opt out! That's great. Another GREAT option as a third wheel to Wade + Amare/Bosh/Boozer, and a tad bit cheaper than Joe Johnson which helps us.

 

I'll tell you what, he played last night like he's already got one foot out the door.

 

If Cleveland doesn't even get out of the East he's going to have to consider joining Wade in Miami or another star in New York.

The Devin Harris thing I would do in a heartbeat.

 

For me, the biggest no brainer of all these names mentioned is Raja Bell. There's no reason not to sign him. Rudy Gay is a good target, and I don't have a problem with Devin Harris either. It seems like we're in a position to get basically whoever the hell we want.

Rudy Gay is ****ing awesome, and he's widely known for his clutch play dating back to high school. He'd be the perfect third scorer to a Wade + Amare/Bosh/Boozer duo. I feel the same of course about Joe Johnson and John Salmons, whom is becoming my personal preference due to his asking price of probably around only $8-10 million. That's my preference as it stands right now: Wade/Bosh/Salmons. But only because it will be difficult to acquire Gay... if I had a choice between the three I'd obviously take him.

I like the Devin Harris idea, too. He's 27 years old, damn good when healthy on BOTH ends of the floor (he's a feisty on ball defender), and would only cost $8 million on the cap this year. In fact, if you include Beasley in a deal for him, he'd only cost a $3 million difference in our cap space.

Say for example,

G - Devin Harris
G - Dwyane Wade
F - John Salmons
F - Chris Bosh
C - Joel Anthony

That's the best team in the East next year, without question... add in Haslem, Raja Bell, Dorell Wright or Q-Rich, and perhaps a free agent center.

 

Better yet, if you can get Harris without moving Beasley (to completely shed salary which seems to be New Jersey's direction) then you can move Beasley in a sign-and-trade deal for Rudy Gay, or for a package of players elsewhere.

 

How about Beasely for Ricky Rubio's NBA rights?

That would subtract Beas's cap hit, add nothing to the Cap, and have the rights to a great young Euro player for years to come.
