Might as well keep it all in one thread if we can. Ok Here goes. This is my first draft of four so I want some pointers on how I did so I can fine tune for the next one.

Really like your draft. Watch out with Sidney Rice because if Favre is retiring for real this time he might see a drop off. Really like the Aromashodu pick,he is going to be good sleeper this year. This is my first year playing fantasy football so I hope I helped.
Can I get pointers on my team?

I prob. dont have to tell you the risks of injury you take by having Moreno and Jackson on your team I'm sure. Love the Qbs you have and TE's are solid. Ward is a risky pick at this point of his career and with the whole Big Ben saga. Pitt is going to be a run first team for awhile. Dont expect big numbers from him. Everthing else looks great.

ESPN Snake draft (mock)
- Andre Johnson WR
- Tom Brady QB
- Reggie Wayne WR
- Jamaal Charles RB
- Ronnie Brown RB
- Matt Forte RB
- Brandon Jacobs RB
- Jermichael Finley TE
- Jay Cutler QB
- Kevin Kolb QB
- Chris Cooley TE
- Terrell Owens WR
- Mario Manningham WR
- Devin Aromashodu WR
- Ravens D/ST D/ST
- Dan Carpenter K
Note: Landed the 2nd pick in a snake draft so I almost got the back-to-backer as well —so close. Not sure why I picked Charles but I was running out of time. Really liked these picks tonight; think I might try to replicate it in the league draft. For some reason my mocks always turn out better than my actual league drafts.Big E likes this. -
EDIT: didnt see it was a mock. Love your wr and TE selections. For the most part this is a solid mock.MikeHoncho likes this. -

Only thing I'd be a little concerned about is RB. You have a lot of potential w/Charles, but if he doesn't have a good year you'll be in trouble. Esp if your league isn't ppr. -
I don't see this big love affair for Matt Forte. Forte is rubbish IMO.
-
I don't see it either. If you put a gun to my head and forced me to draft a Bears RB, I'd take Chester Taylor as late as possible. -
- Andre Johnson
- Brandon Marshall
- DeAngelo Williams
- Dallas Clark
- Ronnie Brown
- Brandon Jacobs
- Kevin Kolb
- CJ Spiller
- Robert Meachum
- Ben Tate

Was a snake drafting format and I started 8th.
Round(overall)
1(8) Andre Johnson
2(17) Peyton Manning
3(32) Ronnie Brown (Contract year )
4(41) Dallas Clark
5(56) Matt Forte

7(80) Kellen Winslow (BPA, imo)
8(89) Jerome Harrison
9(104) Donovan McNabb
10(113) Malcom Floyd

12(137) Donald Brown

14(161) Kevin Smith (took a flyer)
15(176) Dan Carpenter (I look for us to put up some serious points this season)
Look OK to you all?
Here is my projected starting lineup:
QB:Peyton Manning
RB1:Ronnie Brown
RB2:Matt Forte
WR1:Andre Johnson
WR2:Mike Sims-Walker
TE: Dallas Clark
Flex(RB/WR):Jerome Harrison/maybe Malcom Floyd
I started a thread on this with no replies but this is better having them all grouped into one thread. Good job!
How did I do? -
Calvin Johnson is a possible bust candidate for a round 2 draft, being on such a horrible team.
Matt Forte looks like a steal to me that late. I think he puts up 1500+ total yards and 10+ tds this season.
Tony Romo will probably throw about 30 tds this year.
I hate your TE's.
You have a pretty solid team overall.Big E likes this. -
Really hard to rank (or mock) a fantasy team without knowing how many teams are in the league.
-
This was my actual draft for a real league (tried to replicate the two "successful" mocks; to no avail)
Very slim at the RB position IMO
Currently working on replacing Olsen for Heath Miller off waivers.
- Andre Johnson WR
- Peyton Manning QB
- Tom Brady QB
- Steve Smith WR
- Brandon Jacobs RB
- Santana Moss WR
- Ricky Williams RB
- C.J. Spiller RB
- Kellen Winslow TE
- Steve Breaston WR
- Steve Slaton RB
- Greg Olsen TE
- Mario Manningham WR
- Steelers D/ST D/ST
- Mohamed Massaquoi WR
- Dan Carpenter K
Note: ESPN's "love" for Miami is not exclusive to special-teams specialists.

1) I think my top 2 RBs will have strong seasons this year (R.Brown and Forte). Also, my backup RBs look pretty solid for fill-ins or strong matchups for flex. Jerome Harrison, Arian Foster (now), and Donald Brown is an Addai injury (or poor play) from being a full-time starter.
2) You are right on MSW, he is inury prone, mut Malcom Floyd should be a decent #2 fill-in or even a flex play with V. Jackson looking to be out until week 10, if at all. But MSW is undisputedly the #1 WR on that team, he will get alot of targets I think.
3) There are only 2 players that I might regret not taking that were available when I chose Kellen Winslow in the 7th round/79th overall:
a) P. Garcon (taken 8th round/95th overall) - not the #1 on his team that has a TON of weapons, and Peyton uses them all.
b) CJ Spiller (taken 7th round/83rd overall) - deep backfield, it's the Jills, I hate drafting rookies.
I also like the fact that I have a TE handcuff if Dallas Clark gets injured that is a top-flight talent, and will lead his team in catches, rec. yards, and TD's this year.
Also, he can be great trade bait during the season, not to mention that it will be addition by subtraction in my head-to-head matchups. If he is on my team I don't have to play against him.
Noone knows for sure but I think I have a pretty solid team to start the season, barring injuries. I will do one more draft before the season starts because I like having 2 teams, more than 2 teams cramps my style a bit lol. -
Did you copy my draft?
Nice move drafting Tom Brady in round 3. You can trade him or P. Manning and get a top tier RB+.
That is all you really need to do. Your team looks great aside from RB, which looks horrible now, imo. I don't like any of your RB's really. Brandon Jacobs will definately gove up a lot of carries to the more talented, imo, Bradshaw.
Slaton's neck injury looks pretty serious from what I hear out of Texans camp. I hear he is not 100% and that coupled with fumblitis, that isn't great news for him.
I would try to get 2 good RB's in a trade for one of your QB's and another player or 2.
Nice looking team with potential. -
You're really gambling a lot on making a trade. Lots of things can go wrong there. If one of your QBs gets hurt, you're screwed. In most leagues with competitive people, they'll see what you're trying to do and really try to rake you over the coals bc they have the advantage of knowing you NEED to make the trade.MonstBlitz likes this. -
Assuming a 12 team league, starting 1 QB, I would think someone would pony up with QB being the last piece of the puzzle. Even a 10 team league, we are talking Tom Brady or Peyton Manning for trade bait. He should be able to get a trade done before the deadline. -
-
So I just had my draft the other night. Here is some background on the league. This is a 10-owner keeper league. You're allowed to keep 2 players from the prior year at their draft position (mine are: Shonn Greene - 11th round and Beanie Wells - 7th round).
Anyways, the league is structured so that you must start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 K and 1 DEF. Each team has 17 roster spots.
Here is my roster:
QB - Matt Ryan, Chad Henne
RB - Shonn Greene, Beanie Wells, Felix Jones, Justin Forsett, Donald Brown, Leon Washington
WR - Andre Johnson, Anquan Boldin, Steve Smith (CAR), Mike Wallace, Chaz Schilens, Dexter McCluster
TE - Jermichael Finley
K - Ryan Longwell
DEF - Cowboys
I'm also currently considering releasing Chaz Schilens and picking up Ben Tate. Our league doesn't have an IR, so in essence I would be burning a roster spot for the entire year -- but Tate should have some real value this time next year as a potential keeper in the last round. Your thoughts? -
My PPR Team as of this afternoon.
QB- Schaub, Hasselback
RB- R. Rice, Ryan Mathews, J Stewart, J. Harrison, C. Williams
WR- D. Jackson, D Driver, E. Royal, D.Hester, A Collie, J Knox
TE- V Shinacoe
Def- Dallas -

about values.
I think the main reason I stopped doing 10 man leagues was it wasn't nearly as challenging in draft mode. -
I think my 10 man slow live draft is going really well so far through 9 rds
Need some depth at WR. Hoping Malcolm Floyd makes it back to me
Tom Brady
Carson Palmer ( backup)
Maurice- Jones Drew
Ryan Marthews
Ronnie Brown (backup)
Greg Jennings
Chad Ochocinco
Tony Gonzalez
Green Bay Packers -
I also hate flex plays. Just having 3 WR spots makes the field much slimmer and more competitive. -
I do an annual 150 buy in, 12 team auction draft. We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, FLEX, D, K (TE are considered WR)
QB
Kevin Kolb
Ben Rothelisberger
RB
Maurice Jones Drew
Reggie Bush
Michael Bush
Jahvid best
Justin Forsett
Steve Slaton
Kevin Smith
Montario Hardesty
WR
Brandon Marshall
Jeremy Maclin
Malcom Floyd
Mike Thomas
K
Dan Carpenter
D
49ers
Obviously i have alot of RBs and i feel atleast a few of them should be able to step up and be dependable starters and if I need to i should be able to trade one for a WR. -
Buddy of mine had a league that needed one more and I joined up, first year I've ever played Fantasy Football. It's a 12 team league with QB, RB, RB, RB/WR, WR, WR, TE, K, D/ST, as the starting lineup and not PPR. Draft was last night and with the 7th pick in a snake draft I got this.
QB: Matt Schaub, Chad Henne, Carson Palmer
RB: Steven Jackson, Ronnie Brown, C.J. Spiller, Kevin Smith
WR: Miles Austin, Pierre Garcon, Hakeem Nicks, Devin Aromashodu, Jabar Gaffney
TE: Zach Miller (OAK), Rob Gronkowski
D/ST: San Francisco 49ers
K: Dan Carpenter
Little weak at RB and TE could be an issue but think Campbell will use Miller a lot, and also think Brady has a good year (unfortunately) and Gronkowski gets some balls thrown his way with the focus on Moss and Welker. Same thing maybe with Gresham in Cincinnati so maybe sneak him through waivers if he starts out better than Gronkowski. -
Money league 10 teamer standard scoring ..1QB 2WR 1RB 1 RB/WR 1TE 1K 1 D/ST
QBs Rivers Eli
RBs Brown Kno Moreno T Jones
WRs A Johnson R Wayne L Fitz Sims Walker

whatcha think ?? Obviously I'm gonna start the 3 WRs and only 1 RB.
