You can see the jokes coming from a mile and a half away. The humor isn't very intelligent it's mostly little one line quips. The show just feels fake too. Some of my favorite tv shows: Freaks and Geeks Modern Family Workaholics The League (although the show has kind of gone down hill) Arrested Development Firefly And more!
Well the entire paintball trilogy is good. This season has really gone down hill imo, the new show runners are kind of writing Community like it's trying to be Community, and some lazy acting. The German episode was kind of bland as well, some moments but for the most part stale jokes and trying really hard to fit the Hogan's Hero jokes into it. Also the episodes feel kind of rushed/half there like here's the situation, oh we're almost out of time and a race to the ending. I don't think the League has gown down, I expected a weak season but it was much stronger than I expected. I was afraid they didn't have much left but maybe next season might change my mind, for me they aren't cranking out 23-25 episodes so it's still fresh with a small order of episodes per season. Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared are two good on season shows, they should have went 4 seasons each.
Modern Family is the clear winner IMO. Freaks and Geeks? That didn't come back did it? I found the girl in that show hot, reminded me of high school.
Freaks and Geeks... unfortunately, it was a show that was just too far ahead of its time. What a cast.
She was the main woman character in Grandma's Boy. Also guest appearing in Freaks and Geeks was Shia Labouf (or however you spell his name), Ben Stiller, and a couple others I am forgetting.
Yeah Linda Cardellini who's character was dating Jason Segel's character, and Segel himself in real life. They also played a couple together in the Paul Gossler vehicle Deadman on Campus. You might recognize her as Velma in the live Scooby Doo Movies.
Im sorry but Ed O Neill is just not the same in any role besides Al Bundy. Its almost embarrassing how bad Modern Family is by comparison. The best comedies on TV are Mike and Molly, 2 and a Half Men, Family Guy. The best shows on TV are Californication, Game of Thrones, True Blood and House of Lies.
2 and a half men is the same drivel week after week. True Blood has been down hill IMO. Shameless (US version), Dexter, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Mad men, Spartacus, Arrow, Elementary, Grimm. I could keep going. Also just realized I watch too much tv haha.
I thought the newest seasons of True Blood were the best and Ive been watching that show since day 1. Love it. Guess I have a different appreciation for the same plot (or lack thereof) week after week regarding 2 & 1/2 Men... Spartacus is a great show, shame this is the last season but I guess thats what happens when you make a show where the hero dies in the history books...
I don't have cable, but I'm hoping I can catch it on Hulu. BTW ... Best show on TV is Game of Thrones. Best comedy on TV is Archer. Everything else is good, but not the best.
Starz is actually thinking about a spin off focusing on Caesar. Its why they introduced him. Some UK shows that are worth checking out. Doctor Who, Misfits, Fresh Meat, Extras, Derek, An Idiot Abroad.
Dexter was great for 4 seasons, then went to ****, at least last season was better and this last one should be great.
The Top 16 shows on TV right now: 1 Game of Thrones 2 The Walking Dead 3 Archer 4 Breaking Bad 5 Dr. Who 6 Mad Men 7 Sons of Anarchy 8 Louie 9 Modern Family 10 Dexter 11 Californication 12 Hell on Wheels 13 It's Always Sunny 14 Parks and Rec 15 New Girl 16 Castle /End Thread
I'm a sucker for brunettes, what can I say. Notice the placement, however. New Girl and Castle fall into the "guilty pleasure" realm for me.
First season was awesome, but I haven't seen it since then. The long hiatus hurt it and it just wasn't the same in the first part of season 2.
Season 2 was a prequel focusing on Batiatus which made season 1 amazing and Gannicus. Its still awesome and bad ***.
I can't stand Modern Family. I hate the fat kid, I hate the stupid kid, I hate the dumb situational tropes.
Just cause thats the response you get to your trade offers doesnt mean its ok to use it all the time. There's something called context and in this case youre wrong
last week's episode is probably going to go down as the best episode of all time. It's like the Sopranos episode where Paulie and Christopher end up lost in the snowy Pine Barrens of South Jersey. "Pine Barrens" season 3... greatest episode from the Sopranos
I have never read the comic books but have heard from many people how lots of characters are different in the TV version.
Freaks and Geeks had Linda Cardellini, John Francis Daly, James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, Martin Starr and Busy Phillips and Buffy the Vampire Slayer potential slayer Sarah Hagan and Ben Foster as Eli. Notable guest stars: Shia Lebeouf (School Mascot), David Koechner (as a waiter), Jason Schwartzman (as a student dealing in fake IDs), David Krumholtz (as Neal's brother Barry), Rashida Jones (as Kim Kelly's friend Karen), Ben Stiller (as a Secret Service agent). Leslie Mann, Judd Apatow's wife, guest-starred on one episode as a teacher.
Game of Thrones!!! Totally forgot about that. That's show rocks! You mentioned Californication so you get a golden star too. The first two seasons rocked, but it's still good. I loved Al Bundy, but it wasn't believable. Modern family is believable AND funny.
Married with Children was definitely believable. I feel like I had some friends that lived that haha.
Yea, the cast was great. I just rewatched it and its awesome noticing the other actors when they are so young. I could have sworn I've seen the Guidance Counsilor in other things too, but never could place it.
