Nothing is more annyoing than the "THE" Ohio State University. Is there another freakin' Ohio State University that they have to define themselves as "THE"? Get a life and stop wearing sweaters and represent us better in the BCS Championship Games.

 

Maybe if the Wolverines wouldn't lose to us every year it would be you guys losing in the BCS national championship

I think most of the hate comes from the fan base. Sadly what people don't understand is every program has fans like Ohio St the issue is Ohio St has been in the spotlight longer than those teams so it seems like the fan base worst than it really is.

I wonder if people realize this.

Though there is hate purely on the program because of the success of the team in its recent years.

This year wont be luck. Last year we had teams choking left and right on the final week. This is the year, 3rd times a charm

 

everyone acts as if our BCS title win was 30 years ago.......we have made it to 3 national title games in 6 seasons?

And we are 1-2.........but because we have lost the last two the simple minds think we "cant" win it..

110% agree with the first part. Trust me I agree that every fanbase has obnoxious fans, I've seen plenty of Gator fans that I sometimes wish would just shut their mouths. I know I give some of you a hard time, some because I know you take it jokingly and some because you don't. But honestly, I have absolutely nothing against the team or school itself, I mean I'm a Beanie Wells fan myself, he's a stud. I think the issue on here and at least for me personally in my everyday encounters, the ratio of rational to irrational fans is very different for some teams. Most of us know how these boards were leading up the the 2006 NC game and I think that kinda set a standard, unfairly or not. But its not just that either there is a difference between confidence in your team and straight up arrogance and lack of humility. I'm not accusing anyone of anything just saying that we all love college football and our teams and sometimes get carried away. Anyway........

Good Luck in the Big Ten this year. Can't wait to see what happens beyond that.

Every team has crappy fans and it annoys me to see such crap from Gator fans like I am sure it bothers you too see it from Ohio State fans. ( Maj in 06 lol )

I will have to go buy a Carson Palmer Jersey. Oh wait I hate USC more than the buckeyes. :-)

Could just be him sending a subtle message he wants out? His OL is getting up there in age, likewise in RB's. His marquee WR wants out, the other marquee WR is due for a big payday his team might not shill out for.

 

I wouldve took my medicine...and yea as far as "that" 06 game I will admidt I too was very confident, that was a very good Ohio State team. But something smelled familiar kinda like 2002 vs. the Cane's, only the roles were reversed. WE were the overconfident bunch who frankly played as flat as possible. It sucked, but it is what it is.

As far as last year it was a whole lot different, that Buckeye team had no buisness in that game and it showed.

I have ZERO hate for the SEC actually I have always kinda like LSU...I hate Michigan and some other Big ten teams I have NO reason to dislike any of those SEC teams. And I sure wouldnt hate guys like Motion or CNC because they are homer's because I sure know Iam.

Well I was very confident that we would beat Florida but man did Urban really out coached Tressel. I think Florida's defensive line really ate us up, They were very quick off the line something our Oline never faced.

Same with the LSU game, I wasn't as confident though. I will never forget how awesome it was to be up 10-0 then to fall so bad emotionally. Man it sucked.

 

Yea the Florida game was all about one team who wanted it a whole lot than the other...

Last year I was very skeptical although our defense was lights out Boeckman played very pedestrian the last half of the year.

This year we will have to see if we beat USC its gonna be hard NOT to be back in the big game but you never know. Personally I dont see a team in a major conference with "undefeated" hopes.....it is possible but honestly...who? Either OSU or USC will have a loss and your not making it out of the SEC unbeaten, Oklahoma maybe?? Excited for the season to begin

 

Well I see USC and Wisky as possible losses but I don't think Tressel has had this many seniors on 1 team before. I think if Tressel and Co use Pryor in the offense I don't see either of those teams beating us. Now I believe we will see a SEC team once again in the national title unless Oklahoma blows it.

And boy is Michigan a mess it seems like. I don't think they will be OSU's toughest conference game this year.

A night game in Madison is always scary...ecspecially when they have a P.J Hill pounding on ya.

Agree Michigan will NOT be the toughest game though, its at home plus they just show zero signs of being a force.
