Hey, Pennington got one, and I think Cobbs has done enough to warrant an appreciation thread after his season ending injury. Patrick Cobbs, you were the Bernie Parmalee of this era's Dolphins, the Kevin Faulk-like specialist back. You've survived a coaching change and won over the new regime as well as the fans. You showed you had the guts and determination to get the job done whenever you were asked. You make something out of nothing quite often. True, being a returner wasn't your strong suit. But you still tried. You never complained about your role on the team, never shyed away from an opportunity, and you hardly ever turned the ball over. You had potential for us in the wildcat with more plays to be drawn up and you were solid in the passing game. Patrick Cobbs, we salute you. You are a fine football player, and we wish you heal up quickly to make a strong case next year to stay with the team. Good luck and get well soon.
HE played his heart out for us. I really appreciated him being on our team. I hope he gets back to health and can remain the player he was
Despite my elation over the win last night I was really bummed today about losing Cobbs for the season. People kept asking me "Who is Patrick Cobbs?" or saying "You guys have Ricky and Ronnie anyway." They don't understand. Cobbs was something special. His prescence will be missed on this team. I hope he has a speedy and healthy recovery and can get back out on the field next season.
it sucks seeing him gone for the yr. he worked so hard last yr. to get that contract. finally got it and now done for the season, he'll come back strong
He'll be back, and with a chip on his shoulder next year. I'm personally looking forward to it, and will be missing seeing him on the field.
Much love for Cobbs, whose performance contributed to the Wildcat's success enough for it to become part of The Fins' long-range plans.
Yeah no doubt Zoom. He played hard and hit harder to open holes. I think he will be tough to replace.
I think he'll be harder to replace on ST coverage units than he will in the WC. He is the type of player you love to have because he is a jack of all trades who can help in many roles, but I would not go so far as to say he is equal to or better than Bernie Parmalee or Kevin Faulk in their primes. Best wishes for a successful rehab and hope we see him back next year. The silver lining, if there ever is one with injuries, is that it is early in the year, so he has more time to recover and rehab.
