It's not about the money, it's about w-i-n-i-n. Besides, I can't take away from my allotted beer funds. If I join a pay league the wife will likely switch me from IPA's to Natty Light.
I wanted to but NFL.com didnt give the option to use Free Agent Auction Bidding that I saw. I havent used them in a very long time because Yahoo has been fine over the past 5 or so years but Yahoo made it very difficult to set up leagues this year imo. I didnt like their new set up at all from a commish standpoint.
yeah I see that Yahoo's format has been changed. Not sure why people always feel the need to screw with stuff that ain't broke. Too bad we can't set up Auction Bidding here using a non GM's inbox to submit bids to. On the PM title put the player's name, the bid amount, and the team name.... and it's automatically timestamped. I nominate Paul. He's got street cred as an accountant. Plus tax season is over so all he does is sit behind a desk and look at porn.
Anyone want a stud TE? Julius Thomas is available for the right price, including package deals. #DropItLikeItsHot
dammit I was like a cunny hair away from starting Julius Thomas at Flex and talked myself out of it at the last second, stoopid. Maybe I'll keep him and start him at Flex all year b/c I think he and Welker are a lot easier to target consistently working the inside/middle than Demaryius & Decker on the perimeter. I think it'll be similar to what we saw with Brady. Why risk INTs on the perimeter into tougher coverage when Manning can dish it off to his athletic playmaking TE & Welker who face more suitable mismatches. That's my thought process at least.
shaddup I was just now looking over what my draft would've been like had I taken Manning 1st. My option would've been Manning + Ryan Matthews rather than Jamaal Charles + Matt Stafford. Tough call. BTW, half of you must be kicking yourselves for not taking my trade offers that included Julius Thomas. It annoyed me that you guys thought I was trying to lowball you with him when I was thinking he was bringing good value to the trade. Oh well.
You never offered me Thomas you putz! I had picked him up in 1 league already (my big money league no less because I figured between he and Jordan Cameron at least 1 would breakout...and not in hives either)....
Hey you could've had him in the trade talks involving Daryl Richardson for Eddie Lacy. That's what I thought as well....... which is why I picked up both.
I dont want any ram running backs. I think they pretty much all suck based on what Ive seen. If you want Lacy, make an offer.....like a good hooker ill always listen haha
you want Julius Thomas you pay the piper, bucko. BTW, you're not a good lil hooker in the trade department. You're more like a Jewish hooker.
For crap sake Byron, you done scoring tonight yet? Side note: Donnie Avery, healthy speedster wideout, starting in an Andy Reid offense that he's perfectly suited for? That's a recipe for a big year, possibly Maclin/Jackson big. Can't believe he slipped through the cracks.
I bet youd like 6 matzah balls floating around in your soup lol. Lucky me, I get to face By and Peyton Manning. Gonna have a lot to overcome. Luck better light up Oakland in the first half (since the game will be over by the early 3rd).
i just had to face peyton manning....88.5 points in our league...i'm done before i even get to play a player...what a disastrous start
Boik Boik Boik, guess what day it is Week 9, guess - what - day - it - is?!....Hump Manning Bye Daaaay, YEAAAAH!! *AKA the week I face Manning*
didn't I write something in the notes about also having your choice between Cameron & Thomas? Could've sworn I did.
Boik, you putz, I did offer you Julius Thomas. Offered you Britt, Thomas, and McCluster for DeSean Jackson. You countered with something like Jeremy Kerley for my entire starting offense.
What my IDP wasn't enough for J. Thomas? ****er took him in the draft I needed a back up TE but nooooo you had to take 3 in the draft.
