This tied into the TNA/WWE thread already in existence. Usual rules apply. Poster posts a question, first poster to get it right posts another. Allow me to start off with a doozy. Believe it or not, The Rock (also known as the People's Champ) has actually successfully attempted the chokeslammed. Who was the wrestler that was chokeslammed by him?
He chokeslammed the Undertaker in 2002. What was the proposed name Vince wanted for the Mankind character before it was switched to Mankind?
Mankind's proposed name was Head Case... Who did Bill Eadie wrestled as (under a mask), prior to becoming a member of Demolition (he was Smash) in the WWE?
The Masked Superstar. Who was the first African-American to ever reign as the WCW Heavyweight Championship.
Ron Simmons... What current WWE performer wrestled under the name Unabomb in Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain territory?
Kane, and I was looking for Marvin the Mauler for the Mankind thing. How many times were the Rockers WWF/E tag team champs?
never heard about Marvin the Mauler. In Foley's first book they mention "Headcase" though. I am not doubting you though. no idea on the Rockers question though.
I guess I should have researched my own Mankind question! I just looked in his first book and on page 272, Vince actually pushes for MASON the MUTILATOR. I was way off.
oh yeah, now i remember that, now that you say it. and Foley went on to say he HATED the idea from the moment he heard it, but didn't want to say anything because Vince was so excited about it.
Once.... unofficially. Which move was innovated by The Rock? (And no, I'm not talking about the People's elbow).
Hmm. I think I am stumped. The Rock Bottom is a Uranage, so he didn't invent that. The float over DDT spot has been done in Lucha Libre for years... I can't think of any other innovative type moves that The Rock utilized in his repotoire?
of course it wasn't the "peoples elbow" dusty rhodes did it waaayyy before the rock........he just called it a different name
He made it famous as a signature spot, which probably means more. The Stone Cold Stunner was used a lot before Steve Austin, but he made it famous and that is what is important more than anything else I think. So, in a way, you are correct, The Rock made the move his own and made it famous.
Who used to tip off what would happen at his Wrestlemania matches based off the clothes he would wear?
Wrong. Hmmm. I can't really think of any other clues without giving it away. He was a former multi time world champion, and is considered a legend of the industry.
Not right. You are thinking too recent. The last clue I will give is that there is a current wrestler who pretty much ripped off his gimmick vebatim in TNA, een though they don't look anything alike.
Correct. The night he turned form heel to face, he wore white wth a white cowboy hat (like the old western movies where the good guy wore white). The night he won the championship from Ric Flair, he was decked out in gold. (signifying that he was winning). You are on the clock mang.
